My 89 year old father in law was recently transferred to Lynbrook Rehab from a nursing facility in Florida. Although he had only been in the previous facility a few months while recovering from back surgery and subsequent sepsis from an indwelling Foley catheter, his physical and mental health had sharply declined. He arrived to Lynbrook with a bed sore, difficulty breathing, and with little function of his extremities. While we were aware of his compounding memory loss, we were unsure if his prognosis in other areas. Well, within just a few weeks at Lynbrook Rehab, my father in law’s bedsore healed, his breathing became regular again, he’s been able to sit up (with assistance) and stay up (in a wheel chair) for extended periods of time. He is able to feed himself, push himself in a wheelchair short distances, and converse (though not necessarily coherently). The nurses and staff treat him with respect, be sure he eats 3 meals a day, attend to his hygiene- which they help maintain impeccably- and are just overall SUPERB!! They are ALL super friendly, kind, compassionate and accommodating. They go out of their way to be helpful to guests. The facility itself is clean with a lovely garden patio outside. And best of all, there is an IN HOUSE BAKERY right when you enter serving up some of the BEST BAKED GOODS - from cheesecake to cannolis to healthy oat muffins- that you will ever taste- all for FREE to the residents and their guests!! They also serve delicious coffees and tea- both in a variety of flavors. This is by far probably one of THE BEST facilities I have ever been to in terms of CARE, ATTENTIVENESS and THERAPY. We are so grateful for the time my fil got to spend here. We only wish it was a LONG TERM CARE facility so that he could continue getting stronger and a little healthier. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Everyone here is very attentive and patient with my dad. I absolutely love holly and Nesley and Dorothy, along with the rest of the staff, their continued dedication and commitment to my dad’s experience here. He can be challenging because he suffered a stroke 13yrs ago. I feel at ease when I’m not with him that’s he’s in great care

My dad has been there for over a month and the staff has been wonderful. Dr. Johnson. Is a warm and caring guy who is also very experiened and intelligent. He listens and helps in any way he can. Nurse Claire and Maria are great, as well as all of the nurses I have interacted with. They provide compassionate, professional care and are in tune with what is going on with my father every day. This goes for the entire staff from the physical therapy team to the Nursing assistants and the facility administrators. The most notable thing about Lynbrook is how the staff is happy and they care for the patients as if they are family. When I mention my father's name, they are very familiar with him. It hasn't been easy, but I appreciate everyone trying to make my dad better.
