I am here to say how disappointed I am in the retirement community my grandfather chose for him and my Nana. He bought one of the single homes and they treat my grandmother like she is a nuisance. My nanny is 97 yrs old (very independent ) still mobile and active and they almost every other week torment my mother to get my grandmother to leave her own home when she wants to go peacefully there. Talk about emotional (elder) abuse. The latest is they removed her from her dinner table in the dining room because the other women thought she was annoying. Her presence matters too. Maybe two things she has left in her life she enjoys and you take away her dining experience. Really? As far as the social worker named (Diane)don’t you ever assume my grandmother doesn’t remember what you say to her because she in fact does! Your comments are invalid the last few months and I honestly think you should pick a different profession because you are in no way shape or form professional. If I could give anyone advice, please do not allow your loved one to go to this assisted living facility. They are cruel and they will bully you. They actually want my grandmother gone so they can sell the house. (Part of the contract) This has been going on for too long now. I want to share my family’s story in hopes they will not do this to someone else’s grandparents and believe me if my grandfather were here, the last thing you would be doing is getting away with this nonsense. Do better and please reevaluate your staff.

There was no one at the front desk at 6pm on the Shepherd's Way side. There's no signs, no bell to ding for service, nothing. I had to look around the lobby & found a label making machine. All I did was follow the prompts on the screen, not show ID & bam - a "visitor" label was printed. I could have came in strapped with dynamite and no one would have stopped me. BIG BIG BIG SECURITY RISK. Do your loved ones feel safe knowing that a madman can enter the building at any time & do as they wish??
