I recently moved my mom to this facility from another state. They have been completely amazing!<br><br>From the start, they guided me through the process. They provided a checklist for all of the paperwork and answered all my questions throughout by always being available. They have since welcomed my mom and ensured she is part of the community! The activities they provide for the residents are fun and helpful for elderly. The food was mentioned in previous reviews. My family and I have eaten there several times with my mom and have enjoyed the food a great deal. It's providing well balanced and good flavored food. My mom loves the food.<br><br>I would consider this facility if you are looking for a family centered community that is safe and clean with helpful and caring staff. I'm glad to be a part of the Libby Bortz Family.

I find Libby Bortz lacking in all areas. Upon entering the facility, you are greeted by the most unprofessional front desk staff, who are rude and unhelpful. In fact, one time, I asked to talk to someone in charge, and the front desk lady told me there was no available. She proceeded to escort me towards the door. I have asked several times to talk to someone in charge and never get a response or a callback. I’ve come to the conclusion that there is no one in charge.<br><br>The nurses are nasty here and very unprofessional. They say they have 24-hour staff, but we found out there is no medical staff Friday-Monday. My grandmother went days without her medication because, according to them, she forgot to tell them she ran out (the medicine they were getting paid to provide). My grandmother has gone days without bathing, sometimes a week or more. Her room was not frequently clean. In fact, we wanted to complain to the state social worker, but my grandmother was too afraid of retaliation. My grandmother asked for help doing a few things, only for the staff to say no, that's not their job. The food is horrible. We have moved her since I would not put anybody I love at this facility. We need to better for are elders.

First of all I just can't say enough about the friendly and helpful staff at Libby Bortz who went out of their way to make the transition of my wife's 101 year old mother from her home to their facility so easy. I hope that if my time ever comes that I must move to an assisted living home that it will be Libby Bortz. My experience is that they strive to make it as close to living at home as possible and keep it as nice and comfortable for the residents as they can. It's a great place!!

Several people have reviewed that the food at Libby Bortz isn't good. In November 2018, they contacted with a food service provider that specializes in senior facilities. Since then the quality has improved (I've asked many residents and they are enjoying it.)<br>Staff is attentive and the place is always spotless. Affordable and welcoming.

My Mom has been here 5 years. Used to be a wonderful place. Has gone way down hill!! Food is terrible. Empty promises for improvement. Less activities every year. No one really cares. My Mom is getting discouraged and depressed.
