Notice that the reviews are all more than a year old. This facility is unresponsive. I have tried to get my mother into the facility for skilled nursing and now respite care and no one will return my calls. I can only assume there care is similar.

My husband was a resident at LGAR for 6 weeks. He had vascular dementia and was admitted on March 3, 2022 and passed on April 14, 2022 after being in Hospice there for 2 weeks. While there he was treated with respect and dignity and received exceptional care from beginning to end. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a nursing home for a loved one.

Mom's been there about 3 weeks. She's been to 2 other rehab and 3 hospitals. Every single nurse, aide, therapists and employees have been wonderful! Kind and caring and encouraging. I've been there 8.hrs a day and have met most people. Best care yet from anyone

I don't even want to leave one star. While I know other people that have had more success for their loved ones, my mother's 9 day stay was a nightmare from the very first night. Mean nurses, uncaring aides. Only 9 days in their care and she ended up in the emergency room.

LGAR took my Father into their facility after having a stroke. They charged approx 9000$ per month to Medicare to "take care of him". In May of this year, he almost died there as he became dehydrated and they did not send him to the hospital. We had to call from TX and insist that he be sent for help. Then, on August 1st, he fell out of his chair twice in one day and was again sent to the hospItal. He was diagnosed with pneumonia, cellulitis in his right leg, and a staph infection in his left arm; three potentially life threatening conditions all being un-treated or under- treated by LGAR. We could have lost him again while he was under their "care" or lack thereof. The day after he got sent to the hospital this reprehensible organization had the nerve to call my brother to say my Father could not go back there!! Coincidentally, Dad's 100 days of fully paid Medicare benefits had just run out. Not only did their lack of attention put him in the hospital, but to add insult to injury, they used that as their reason to kick him out. Question: What kind of inhumane organization would do all of this to a defenseless elderly person ? This is our Dad we are talking about ! A man who all his life served the community around him. He was a husband, he is a Father, he helped everyone around him always through philanthropy and charitable works, his nieces and nephews think of him like a Dad, and he served his country in the Korean War! Regardless of his character, he is a human being and that alone should be enough to allow him dignity and respect in his time of need, not neglect and harassment. Either way,,they did not "care" for him! They are so very very wrong. They cared about the $$$ they got for keeping him there. What made LGAR think that they could take my Father's life in their hands and while stealing from Medicare, ignore him until he got to the point of near death and then throw him out? God be with you if you ever trust this atrocious, lying, cheating, sickening place to care for your parent ! They can put on a reasonably good show for families while they are being paid big, but there is a price you will pay when you let them "take care" of your loved one. There is a special place in hell for these NON CARE GIVERS! BEWARE OF LGAR ,TURTLE CREEK, PA !! If it takes the rest of my life I will be an advocate for my Dad and other Eldery people who are put into these horrendous "homes " such as LGAR . They are only getting one star here in order to be permitted to post the review.!
