I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Activities Department at this facility! My family member attends activities every single day and always comes back smiling and talking about all the fun she had. The laughter, love, and joy these ladies bring to the residents truly make a difference. Activity Director Jasmine and activity assistants Alicia, Estefany, and Daisy are absolutely amazing. They go above and beyond to make every resident feel included, happy, and cared for. My loved one constantly tells me how much fun she has with these lovely ladies and how excited she is for each day’s activities. It brings me so much comfort knowing she is surrounded by such kind, compassionate, and dedicated staff. This facility truly provides outstanding activities for their residents, and it shows in the happiness of everyone involved. Thank you all for creating such a warm and loving environment!

Everybody is entitled to there opinions .In this case I must speak up and say Lakeplacid Health is a good facilty .Recently they got there Adminstrator back named Nikki .I must say that was a blessing. She truly cares about the staff and the residents. She is turning this building into 5 stars 🌟. Casey at the front desk is always kind and welcomes everyone.Michelle and Robin from admissions/marketing is always friendly and avaible for a tour and assist in any way they can. Then walking past an office i was greeted by Vicki the Human Resource who also was very kind and helpful .Last I met the Director of Nursing and she was very kind I observe her helping a resident inside to go to avtivity. What stood out the most seeing her wearing scrubs I have respect because that shows she also on the floor helping Insteady of someone wearing high heals and a dress and just sitting at a desk. The building is clean the outside is beautiful. The residents I observe was very dress nice clothes and were happy .One even had her baby doll so pretty dress with her. I would be honored to have my mother there someday .Great job Lakeplacid Health and team keep up the good work .

My wife was in this facility for approximately 5 - 6 weeks. She was very well cared for as she had a hip replacement and fell the next day at home and had a fractured femur. She was unable to do alot for herself upon admission. By the time she was released March 23 2026 she could do everything for herself that was permitted for a hip replacement and femur fracture. We would like to mention Tonya on day shift nurse, she couldn't do enough to keep her comfortable and up on what to expect. Tonya was compassionate and caring no matter how her day was going. Another was Nurse, Kim on the night shift. She also took care of all my wife's needs and was so caring and personable. The nurses were always busy but gave her whatever she needed. The CNA's were always busy but seemed to know what my wife needed before they got to her. She so enjoyed her showers and called it her " spa day." There were 2 CNA's on shower day that she adored, one was Kaitlyn and the other I am sorry I cant remember her name. Little things like a shower mean alot when you cant do it yourself. These girls brightened her stay. All the CNA's were too numerous to mention but they treated her right and I appreciated that so much. Then there was the therapy dept., they took a scared, broken woman and made her whole again. Claudia and Krinesha worked so tirelessly with her. She enjoyed therapy, stated it was hard and intense but the entire staff made it enjoyable. Staff gave her the confidence she needed when she came home on that wonderful day, I was amazed at her progress. I know this was long but if you require great care and wonderful therapy, Lake Placid Rehab is number 1 in our book. God bless you all. Dennis and Loretta

Although there is no place like home , the Lake Placid care and rehabilitation center was very close. My bonus mom , Carolyn spent 77 days here for rehab and had excellent care especially from nurse Tammy and nurse Tonya . They were very kind and compassionate and excellent nurses. Also nurse Jac and Marcus who were also very kind and excellent at their jobs . CNA s have a very hard job so before you criticize just try and put yourself in their place for just one hour . I also want to give a Big shoutout to Michelle and Joumana and Amanda and can’t forget Dr. Gary for their concern for Carolyn . Thank you all for for truly caring about the people in your care. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Also I can not forget the sweet and very helpfulness the front desk ladies were. Kasey, Aurora and Neketta , you all became like family who we will never forget. I’m sure I have forgotten some names but again thank you , thank you for the great job !! Love Theresa L. Rhodes

My mother was at this facility and this place is absolutely unacceptable. The lack of care and professionalism is shocking. CNAs are constantly on their phones instead of attending to residents, and nurses sit at the nurses’ station on their phones as well. On top of that, CNAs and nurses loudly scream-talk in the hallways, which is extremely rude, disruptive, and completely disrespectful to residents who deserve peace and dignity. The floors are filthy and can take up to three days to get cleaned, which is disgusting for a skilled nursing facility. Basic needs are not met ice water is not passed out every shift, and residents are left waiting for simple things they should automatically receive. Many of the CNAs are rude and show no compassion whatsoever toward residents. What makes this even worse is that administration puts on a fake “kind and caring” act when families or visitors are around. In reality, she is fully aware of these issues and choose to ignore them, and that attitude clearly trickles down to staff. The food is terrible and clearly not a priority. The only positive thing I can say is that there are two nurses who work weekends who are amazing, but they are the rare exception. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you care about your loved one’s dignity, comfort, and quality of care, look elsewhere.
