Staff is friendly and our dad seems to be content. My only complaint is the very sloppy dress code.

I’ve been to over 100 facilities across the country, this is one of the best ones I have visited. Staff are friendly, helpful and genuinely care for the residents here. It’s clean, well kept, and the Administrator, Todd, and Director of Nursing, Tess, were well informed and aquatinted with all of their residents, which is not something you see often. The residents were all happy and interacted with every one, and are involved in the many activities they have here. Overall a fantastic facility, I would not hesitate to place a loved one here.

I was visiting a family member and had a disappointing experience with Nurse Donna. She was rude and unprofessional—not just in how she interacted with us, but also in how she spoke to her coworkers. I understand that everyone has tough days, but there are still ways to communicate with kindness and maintain professionalism. I hope this is addressed to ensure a more respectful and supportive environment for patients and staff alike.

I called the assisted living manager and left several detailed messages with their voice mail. I was very disappointed as I never got a return call. Would have been nice to talk with a professional and get some answers so I could make a decision for my mother but I guess you were too busy/ or I feel like my mom wasn’t worth your time. Very lacking in professionalism.

Some of the staff were wonderful, others were completely unhappy with their job. In the nearly two months that my father was there, it often appeared they were short of staff. Twice I saw employee conflicts, one leaving the building in tears, and another time with two in the hallway discussing staffing issues. My father, very picky, was incredibly dissatisfied. Considering the circumstances, the experience was barely par. Once Hospice of the Ozarks became involved, the service provided by Good Sam diminished substantially worse, without regard to paying the same rate. My father regularly complained of the overnight care workers, but I was never present overnight to witness. We are in a world where CNAs are not paid well for their work. Most staff in these facilities are underpaid. That still does not make it okay to provide substandard care because you are regularly short staffed. If staff was at par, I feel it was significantly poor staffing for the number of patients per section. Overall, the experience was disappointing. While this facility might be well rated in the community, I would not recommend the experience for a loved one.
