Family experiences at Lafayette Pointe are notably divided. Many families describe a warm, engaging environment with attentive staff and meaningful activities, water balloon fights, chili cookoffs, a game room with casino slot machines, and a courtyard where residents gather. Several families praised the compassion and expertise shown during end-of-life care and rehabilitation, with one noting that "each department brings their own specialty in making each resident feel apart of a large family." I would like to thank Lafayette Pointe for partnering with Vitalant to save lives by hosting a blood drive. They had 12 people present to donate and we were able to collect 11 blood products and seven of these people were first time blood donors. These generous gifts will be used to sustain or save the lives of up to 33 patients in need. What an amazing impact on our community! We currently have a 1-2 supply of blood for our hospitals here in NE Ohio so every donation makes a difference. On behalf of Vitalant and the hospitals we serve, I sincerely thank Lafayette Pointe and the generous people that took time out of their day to donate blood. You are helping to give a patient the priceless gift of another day, week, month, or years to be with their loved ones.
