LCHCC was the best thing to happen to our family. Our mom’s health started to decline and she needed 24/7 care. This facility was right near both my sister and I so we were able to stop by at a moments notice if needed. They took great care of my mom for the year that she was there. Donnah is quite possibly the best thing to happen to that place. I don’t think we could have gone through the year without her. She’s AMAZING. Kerly was one of our mom’s favorite nurses. So sweet and truly cares about her patients. Andrew, I believe he’s a CNA was another one of our mom’s favorites. Always so pleasant and happy to help. Margaret, the social worker, has all the information you need to know about services, Health insurance, coverage etc. she made understanding things so easy. Dr. Avakian is the director of this facility and ironically was our moms primary doctor for 30+ years! He’s an amazing doctor and runs a fantastic establishment. I do recommend this facility if you are in the area, whether for short term or long term care. Thank you to everyone here for all you’ve done for our family.

My mother stayed here for a week following hip surgery. Unfortunately, I live out of state and had to have others check on her. One of her meals was a piece of bread, a slice of cheese and a slice of bologna. I can only guess what they charged insurance for that one. Additionally, someone came in to “fit” her for glasses. Insurance was charged 180.00 for this and she never received the glasses. However, the kicker is what happened when she was released. For some unknown reason, her transportation was cancelled after she had already been released from the facility. Because of her condition, she was going to need help getting upstairs to her apartment. By some miracle, a woman who works for the facility happened to have a friend that is a part time ambulance driver that would transport her. This service would cost 200.00 cash or check. The check had to be made out to “cash”. As you can imagine, this was very suspicious. The terrifying this is that this facility is considered one of the better ones.

Mom has been in this place since mid October, worried about all situations with nurses, employees and feedback reviews etc… But surprisingly they are professional, well organized, specially nurse aids are excellent, nice and kind to patients with care. Facilities are cleaning often that you’re in peace. Thank you

My friend has been in two previous rehabilitation centers/nursing homes. La Crescenta Health Care is exemplary in its management and administrative care of people. Medically, it must be amazing. My friend is so very healthy now and he's coming home this week.

Facility and Staff were excellent during a 2 week stay due to mobility. Staff was excellent and caring. Physical and Occupational Therapy staff was very efficient and knowledgeable, getting my wife up and ambulatory as soon as her injury permitted. Staff is a bit thin, especially during night hours, yet were very supportive for my wife. They constantly got even the most severe patients up and out of bed as frequently as possible, especially for meals. Facility has an activity room, an easily accessible patio. They encouraged and welcomed visits of our small (well behaved) dog, Bella, who was thoroughly excited to be able to spend some time with Mamma. While obviously a depressing environment with a large number of extremely disabled folks, we were treated with kindness and respect at all times. Meals were well prepared, varied, and delivered promptly, while respecting dietary restriction which tend to lead toward blandness. Portions sizes were more than adequate, even too much for elderly folks. The facility was exceptionally clean and fresh.
