Donna and Michelle are amazing nurses! They really have compassion!
Residents often have to sit for hours before taken back to their rooms. Often told just a minute turns into an hour plus.
CNAs used my mom’s phone charger and one even fell asleep in her recliner next to her!

Let me tell you about FCC, you complain... You get blocked from their FB page, how dare I make a negative comment!
Let me tell you about my mothers stay there. SOME good and some bad. So very often she would ask to go to her room and in bed and would be told in a little bit and sometimes 3-4 hours would pass. She would be woken up sometimes at 5 am and asked to stay in bed and was told no. There were several instances were staff would use her phone charger to charge their personal phone. One time my mom woke up to have a CNA with their feet on her bed and asleep in her recliner.
Therapy was great, probably the best I have experienced. Meals were ok, sometimes there would be gnats flying around their plates.
Some of the nurses really cared! Michelle and Donna were two of the best! Some great CNA's, however they are the ones who are moving on to better placed, taking more classes to advance,
Make yourself seen, let them know you are there watching

Many thanks to Rebecca at Freeburg Care Center for the extra help getting mom’s hearing aids to Beltone for repair. Mom depends on those hearing aids so much for her daily routine. Donna M
