I would like to share the team at LaBella of Danville took really good care of my uncle in his final moments. The nursing staff ensured that his needs were met. He was admitted in with Hospice Services, Transitions Hospice, (very amazing Hospice company), along with Transitions and the LaBella nurses ensure that he was comfortable up until his final moments! I appreciate the whole team, the nursing staff, dietary, activities, and housekeeping! Now he’s finally at peace! Thank you from the Darnell Family! ❤️

within one week there has been a miscommunication between the week staff and weekend staff. the staff takes personal belongings, such as pre shaving lotion that under the Illinois department of health is a hygiene item and patients can have. along with siccors used properly can have. there are no legal Doctor Documents as to a patient causing harm when using the personal belongings or part of daily hygiene to have staff steal from the patient. The physical therapy rehabilitation program for stroke and cardiac rehab equipment or therapist doesn't communicate with POA - instead of contacting POA , staff just upsets the resident going against Illinois department of health. Illinois Citizens for Better Care was consulted. There needs to be better communication and residents treated with diaginity. Needless to say that the Illinois department of health was consulted bout personal belongings and property. If you feel your loved one has been treated wrong contact Illinois Citizens for Better Care.

Whole heartedly believe this place neglected my client to death. He was there not even 2 weeks before he went from being able to walk to not even being able to move his head and was bedridden and on hospice. They were not feeding him. He lost weight RAPIDLY! Ultimately he ended up passing away from aspirating to death! When I was there I asked for them to wipe his mouth out with those swabs that are made to hydrate his mouth. They were rude about me asking the to do it, when they did it, it was very AGGRESSIVE and careless. I can only imagine how they were treating him when we were not there. The only good care he received there was from the hospice nurse Haley. They never even bathed him. The hospice nurse took over 30 minutes to clean him up because they had not cleaned him at all after being there for 2 weeks. If you care about your loved ones and want them to live DO NOT SEND THEM HERE. You’ll be lucky if they make it out alive! THIS PLACE SERIOUSLY NEEDS LOOKED INTO AND SHUT DOWN!

Very rude and unprofessional staff! So much neglect. I honestly don't know how or why this facility is still operating. So much needs to be investigated! I would have given no stars but that wasn't an option. One can only hope that an investigation will be done as soon as possible!
