Kiva has been an absolute savior for our family. Our grandmother was there for many years and it was a just like home experience for her. Cindy and her staff were absolutely amazing and made my love one feel so at home and loved. Would highly recommend

I am an elder law attorney in Naples. When I am looking for a memory care community for my clients, I always consider Kiva. Kiva is a small and has a homey environment. The administrator, Cindy Digman is always involved and engaged with her residents. We don't have many problems, but if we do, we know that Cindy will be responsive and help- to solve any problem. You will not find a place with more heart than Kiva.

Absolutely disgusting. These people should be brought up on charges of neglect and abuse. They treated my loved one like an unruly horse. I walked in on 2 of them scrubbing them down, spraying them with cold water while they screamed. They held their arms out while spraying them in front of the sink and when i offered to help said, "they needed a bath." Then walked out, leaving them naked, afraid and confused. I have photos of feces in the dining room of the memory care side. I alerted them to this when i picked my loved one up. When i brought them back hours later, still there. They blamed my loved one for everything, even though they had dementia. Look- i dealt with my loved one's dementia for several years and through 3 different care homes. But Kiva is the reason they died. A nurse pushed my loved one out of a room they weren't supposed to be in and they broke their leg. This started their process of giving up. My loved one still had their mobility, used the restroom unattended and was probably the lowest level of memory care. In their short time there, they were subjected to the most unkind & disgusting treatment. Get what you pay for I guess. But for 3k a month, you'd think they could afford a better vetting process. Cindy Digman was in charge and was the most cold, bitter woman I've ever met. This woman has no qualms about gaslighting the family. If you care at all about your loved one who needs special care.. this ain't it. The place should be condemned and torn down. *this is a very small sampling of the atrocities I witnessed while my loved one lived there. I welcome the opportunity to elaborate further and would be willing to show receipts if helpful. Tbh, i should've pressed charges pr asked for an investigation. But i was grieving. That's what they bank on. If you or a loved one has been mistreated by Kiva, please garner the energy to speak up to authorities!! I pray these people get the same treatment as they gave. And with Cindy's chainsmoking in the office, she'll probably need care at some point.

Horrible place. They treat residents like garbage. The staff will lie to the residents if they think it makes their job easier. They hold the residents there as if they're prisoners and monitor them as if they're under lock down. I've seen it myself. One of the staff members threatened to call the police on a family because they wanted to tell their elderly family member resident the truth about them not being able to come home. A wise person learns from others' mistakes, a fool learns from their own. Please learn from my experience and take your loved one somewhere else....

It became apparent in early July that I needed to find a Memory Care /Assisted Living residence for my 92 year old mom. She’s been living in Independent Living for 7 years but only because I’m a retired RN and for the last 4 years, has been a participant in PACE (Program designed to keep the elderly in their own homes) who provided all her medical, social work, PT/OT, dietary needs. We looked into several places that PACE recommended and chose Kiva at Canterbury and I’m so happy that we did! From Cindy the Administrator to Tariana a Med Tech (studying for her nursing degree), to Denny the Maintenance/Engineer, to the aides and dietary staff, everyone has been so kind & supportive of my mom and me & my family who visit her. My mom has dementia (nasty disease) and as is typical, has difficulty with changes to her day-to-day activities and environment. She said as she first walked into Kiva: “ It feels like home”! (which amazed me). Cindy and her staff have created a home-like environment for their residents. Mom has flourished at Kiva! I’m greatly relieved as she’s now safe (residence is locked), monitored and well cared for (to minimize health risks) and receives good patient/resident care, meals and meds in a timely manner.
