There are not enough words to tell you about how “wonderful” the care is here at this facility. The client and their family are drawn into the loving community of care. My husband has early onset Alzheimer’s and is currently 68. He has been here for almost 3 years. A huge shout out to Pat Cartwright, the director who shepherded me through the many phases my husband has gone through with his disease. She is only a phone call or text away when I need her guidance. Now a shout to the staff! They are welcoming and engage with the clients with love. They work hard to provide care to all! They keep the facility clean and all the clients are well tended for. All and all, my husband feels at home here. Upon a return to the facility after a hospital stay, his face lit up when he realized where he was. It was a wonderful moment. I trust the facility with my husband. What more can you ask for? Did I tell you, they have huge well attended Thanksgiving meal for all? I look forward to it every year.

My Mom is a resident and has been at this facility for a few years now. I feel so blessed to have this staff that cares for each and everyone of their residents. It is definitely the best place you could have your loved one in. Kingwood Memory Care treats my Mom as a part of their family and could not ask for more than that. All of her needs are met with love and care.

I would like to give some well deserved accolades to Pat Cartwright and the staff at Kingwood Memory Care! We did our homework when we were searching for a place to move our mom. My niece recommended we check this facility out. I have never been so impressed with the facility in all my life. My mom was there for the last five months of her life and grew to love and respect everyone there. I was there most every day and it was just like family. Because the place has a small capacity each resident got so much personal attention. This place is spotless and the director is one of the kindest, most intelligent ladies I have ever known. I will count her as a special friend of myself and my family forever. If you ever should have to make a decision to put your loved one in a facility for them to receive proper professional care do yourself a favor and interview the people at Kingwood Memory Care.

My Mom has been at this facility for 3 years. They have been wonderful in their care for my Mom. She is provided 3 delicious meals every day cooked right there where the residents can smell the homecooking and they are seated at tables together for meals. The residents are kept all together in the main living room most of the day and are engaged watching TV programs that make them laugh, exercises some days but never stuck in their rooms but engaged with being together and watched closely. They are always kept clean and the place NEVER smells bad from incontinence problems as other places I have seen. Their clothes are changed immediately if even a few drops of urine get on their clothes when they are going to the restroom and the clothes are taken to the washing machine right away--never left in their room. The employees seem to have a good relationship and there is a lot of laughter between them which makes for a very positive, family feeling environment. They do not medicate their residents so they sleep all the time but understand that though the residents may not be totally coherent but still keep them around each other socially. I have been there when residents have screamed or cursed at the workers trying to take care of them but the workers remain calm and say they know this is not who they are but the disease (dementia, alzheimer, etc). My Mom is happy being there and I don't know what we would do without Kingwood Memory and Assisted Living.

My Father has been a resident at kingwood memory care for approximately 3 years and I would highly recommend this facility. Pat the director has a very competent and caring staff that takes excellent care of the patients. The staff has a very low turn over rate which allows the staff and residents to have a personal relationship. The facility is fairly small which allows the staff to closely monitor and respond to the resident.
