Please dont put your loved ones in this place. I went in multiple times and my mom was in the same clothes for days and not even her clothes. They want you to take so many clothes over there but the resident never gets all their belongings. Only gave her a couple of showers the whole time she was there. Went and put her to permanent when she was only there as short term just so they could make you pay and try to take all their property. There was one male nurses aide (dont remember his name) and one nurse Jamie that I really like. They are the only ones that told you anything. Most of the others were rude. Suppose to get ahold of me before my mom got ready to pass. They waited until after she passed to call. Didnt get the chance to say goodbye. I was there everyday to visit her. They are not as good of place as they let on to be SO PLEASE DONT PUT YOUR LOVED ONES IN THERE!!. It made me give a star but mine is really a ZERO read less

The ground are average with basic landscaping but could use upgrades and maintenance. The patients need more outside time and an art display in the lobby would be great for the visitors to experience. A fishing trip would also benefit the patients who love to fish 🎣 and gardening in the courtyard would be very therapeutic. I have lots of ideas and experiences with elderly patients as a former CNA from South Carolina.

I toured a number of facilities prior to Kenwood View and found that this is the best of the best for my family member. The director was very helpful and thorough. The staff is very educated, friendly and helpful. The facility is clean, decorated nicely, and halls are wide and quiet. There are many activities and comforts for the residents. The food was delicious. One could see that great care was given to the preparation and presentation of the meals. The rooms are nicely appointed and well arranged. I feel that this is a place which meets the needs of many seniors with all levels of needs and glad we chose this facility.

I know that the facility is dedicated to the people who live there and work there. Kenwood View is resident centered and continually strives to be the best provider in the Salina area. I have referred people to Kenwood view for placement and also for employment. Recently my Mother-In -Law was there for a short term rehab stay. They had a refrigerator in her room with things she desired, they also had a beautiful bed set on her bed which made it feel more like a home. She had no complaints about the care she received. She was very pleased and that pleased me. I started taking students to Kenwood View for clinical instruction a couple years ago. The experiences they get at Kenwood View are always beneficial to their education. The nurses at Kenwood View are very thorough and have been excellent teachers. The DON has been there for years and is dedicated to making sure things are done appropriately. I always feel comfortable with the staff and they answer any questions I have. I will continue to use this facility as a learning environment for nursing students. I have also referred another instructor there and I know she plans to bring students from Fort Riley to the facility for training.
