There isn’t a better care facility in the state. The associates give their whole hearts to the residents that live here. This team of healthcare professionals loved and took care of my grandma for many years until it was time for her to go to heaven. I will forever be thankful for the care they provided her and my family.

I spent a couple of weeks here after a total replacement of my left knee. My doctor ordered a CPM machine to help with stretching my new knee. In order to use this I would have required someone to set it up four times a day. I chose Johnson County Health and Rehab after some research and being sent photos of what my room would look like. Aesthetically the rooms are beautiful, sparkling clean, big beautiful walk in shower, an appointed with comfortable furniture and nice chest of drawers. Sunshine through mini blinds and your own heater/air conditioner. The staff is awesome. Always very attentive to your needs and bringing ice water, coffee and ice packs as requested. They treated me with dignity and respect. Usually the had a big smile on their face and took great care of me. Bathing was done in a regular scheduled and someone was always next to me as a safety precaution. They have a huge Physical Therapy room which is well equipped. The therapist are great at getting you motivated so you can become stronger. Also , you are in the room with others so you can spend time chatting with others in your same situation. There are long, beautifully decorated hallways which make for a safe walking environment. The only small issue I had was with the food. Evidently, there was a transition in the culinary staff and it took a few days to get some issues worked out. The quality was improving and I know given time the culinary staff will reach the high standards that the other departsments maintain. I would go back there if I needed their support. One thing they didn’t have and I know they never will are my kitties!!! That would have been perfection. One thing that I didn’t mention was the activities the staff provided. They have a beauty shop on site, they made candy one day, play board games and many other activities. My neighbor down the hall, had her room beautifully decorated for Christmas and the staff had decorated all our doors. In the day I was leaving, I missed their Christmas Party. I have heard it was quite a hit and the had a New Year’s Eve Celebration! All things considered, I would wholeheartedly recommend this place and I would use the facilities again. Love, Sherrie Chandler
