They hold back your medication, lie to you, treat you like your a piece of crap, don't care, yell at you. If you have a loved one please do yourself and them a favor and run as far as you can from this place!! All they care about is getting paid. The one nurse leader *( Shanna) told me she spends $800 on a pair of shoes!! Can you even imagine that? I know that I can't!!! As I can't even buy a loaf of bread. Shame shame on them!!! When the cleaning lady came in I loved her I told her she was sent from God!! They thought she would bother me but then when they found out she didn't they kept her away and my room was never cleaned again!!

Wonderful staff & facilities Fresh cooked daily meals. Excellent physical therapists. Even a great hair salon so she looks & feels pretty when she returns home. Thank you John Knox.

My grandma was in the Ibis section at The Woodlands for rehab for about 4 weeks after a hospital stay for a fall. She had a broken shoulder with no use of 1 arm. I have unfortunately had experience with many rehabs in broward county so I’m providing a review on The Woodlands compared to many others. I’ll start with appearance. The facility set up is very nice. The main lobby is clean and the front desk staff is very pleasant (Kathy and Jennifer I believe). The rehab unit (Ibis) has a great set up. It feels like a group home and the rooms are private which is rare for rehab that insurance covers. The rooms were decently clean and it did not smell bad like some of the other facilities I have been to. The food/menu was impressive for a rehab facility. The cna’s (they call them Shahbaz) that work in the unit have too much on their plate. They are responsible for cooking meals and serving the meals as well as patient care. It’s a great concept, but they need to have more of them on shift to be able to get to everyone’s needs. I had a friend and care taker staying with my grandmother for most of the time, so her needs were taken care of for the most part. If she did not have private full time help, we would have had a different experience. Mostly because she required a lot of care and the cnas do not have the time for that level of care. Most of the cnas were good specifically Holly and Cheslyn. Some others I don’t have names for. We had a bad experience with one cna, but I will not call her out here as I handled it with her directly. There was also one nurse that was pretty rude. We had great experiences with Josephine, Luni and Patrice. I feel they truly cared about the patients which is rare in these types of facilities. The therapists were good. They are a bit limited on time with the patient but that’s likely an insurance company limitation. Overall The Woodlands is one of the better rehabs in broward county in my opinion. Again, my grandma was not alone much as we had family and friends with her almost every day. I can’t say if it would have been just as good if we didn’t spend as much time with her. I also spoke with the VP Jennifer a few times in the first few days as I had concerns with care. She took action quickly and even provided me with her cell phone number. I dealt with Beth the manager a few times and she was very helpful. I spoke with Ivy in social work quite a bit to coordinate insurance extensions and assistance to transfer to a facility out of state. Ivy is very busy so she’s not warm and fuzzy (in my opinion) but she did get the job done. Communication is an area they can improve on. I feel like their needs to be a weekly reach out to provide details and updates. I had to reach out to get updates if I wanted them. At the end of the day the staff in these rehabs have a hard job. Some make it clear that they don’t want to be there or it’s just a paycheck, while others show that they really care. You have to stay involved and advocate for your family member if you want to have the best possible outcome.

Stay away. I can go on for hours. Between the dirty facility, horrible food, lack of communication with family, disorganized "nursing" and surly, disinterested CNA's ( Shabbazim), this place is expensive and not worth a penny. You will have to advocate for everything for your loved one, including the pest control as there are roaches on every floor. I offered several times to provide constructive feedback and was placated with unkept promises for decent and consistent care. I have reams of pictures of her left dirty, unattended and the room filthy,

STAY AWAY. SUPER DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE. Our loved one said food is AWFUL. We never received any feedback from any physical therapist, nurse or doctor. I was able to observe physical therapy one day - the therapist would give instructions and go get on their phone and leave the patient to do (or not do) their exercises. Then one day out of the blue, we get a call that our loved one is being discharged. When the John Knox home physical therapist visited at home, they agreed our loved one was NOT in condition to be discharged. Likely, they needed the bed. Every time I visited, the staff was in the kitchen eating. Tons of violations of safe food handling and eating out of what is being prepped for "guests." The room was in need of a thorough washing. Floors were so gross we actually brought supplies and cleaned them. The telephone NEVER worked - we call maintenance twice. ZERO SECURITY. They have it looking like there is security but you just have to know a name and you can waltz right in. No one signs in on the sign in sheet so they have no idea who is coming and going. We will find something different if we ever need rehab again!
