There is so much waste and overflow at this hospital it’s uncanny. The state of the 🇺🇸 should give you an idea of the state of this hospital. it’s a shame with all the tax payer money allocated here. Today the issue was getting my discharged papers. The lady in charge of distributing them required a copy of my id I sent it to her but she could not open the image or file. There is a lack of communication between staff and patients. Different creoles are spoken without clear signage or digital alternatives. The commotion in the video was because the girls saw a huge roach. 🪳 🪳

Came here NOT BY CHOICE but EMT claimed he just had to come here. Sat for 12 hours in a mix of pain, anger. Just to get no lab results, force them to tell me what’s wrong just for them to still just throw me in a corner for observation hours. How are you observing and no one can see me??? I ask a question and get ignored or some childish response like I’m not a grown adult. Or I try to get help and the nurses walk past and turn they head like they don’t see you. I don’t know what kinda training is done here but yall might as well shut the whole place down cuz I don’t see much help being done. I’ve heard more complaints than thank yous. Had to force them to release me essentially because I was tired of being treated like a kid in the time out corner. Just adding more and more beds right in front of me so I couldn’t get up use the bathroom or be heard so if I was dying it would probably be done for.

I recently had a procedure done at Jamaica Hospital. I cannot express enough gratitude for Payal and incredible care she provided from the moment she walked in. She made me feel comfortable safe and truly cared for. I was extremely nervous, but her calm and compassionate approach immediately eased my anxiety prior was highly professional, knowledgeable, efficient throughout the entire procedure. She explained everything clearly handled the situation with such a confidence and kindness made the experience far better than I could have imagined I would wholeheartedly recommend Payal to anyone needing women’s healthcare or procedures honestly, I wish she could be my OB/GYN people like her are truly one of kind. God needs to create more people like her. Jamaica Hospital is very fortunate to have such an amazing person working there. Usually my experience at Jamaica Hospital, especially in the emergency room have not been the best, but Payal completely changed that for me and I truly made my day. God bless her always. She’s a blessing to her Patients

DONT COME HERE!!! This hospital is very unprofessional, unsanitary, unsafe and all staff are very rude. If I could leave 0 starts I would. The nurses don’t know what their doing and the receptionist are very rude to you. If your with a patient in the waiting ride you can only stay for 10 mins and they’ll kick you out then only to return in about an hour!! I recommend going somewhere else people 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had a very disappointing experience in the NICU during my child’s discharge. The nurse assigned to us left an hour before discharge without informing me, and I only learned she was gone after the shift change. When I asked for my child’s discharge paperwork, I was told it wasn’t in their system. The same nurse insisted she had already given it to me. I explained that I was in a rush to make a pediatrician appointment and asked if the documents could be faxed, but she was unwilling to assist. When I requested to speak with someone else, she refused. At that point, I hung up because I didn’t want to keep arguing or waste more time. Earlier, when I first called for help, the person who answered the phone was dismissive and handed the call to that same nurse. Overall, the situation was extremely frustrating and emotionally exhausting. Security also spoke to us in a way that felt unnecessarily threatening, which only added to the stress. Because of this experience, I do not feel comfortable returning to this hospital and cannot recommend it at this time. I truly hope administration addresses these issues so other families do not go through similar difficulties during an already challenging time. To be fair, the Labor & Delivery team was amazing, the Lactation Consultant team was incredibly supportive, and several NICU nurses were wonderful as well unfortunately, a few negative interactions overshadowed the positive ones and left a lasting impression.
