My mother was a long-term resident of Island Crest Adult Family Home (Island Crest AFH), where she received outstanding care and support throughout her stay. From the moment my mother moved into their facility, Island Crest AFH's commitment to creating a warm and welcoming environment set this home apart from other facilities we considered. The staff's dedication and compassion, attention to detail, and genuine concern for each resident's well-being are evident in everything they do. The facilities are well maintained, providing a comfortable and safe space for everyone. The meals are not only nutritious but also delicious, catering to the residents' diverse tastes and dietary needs. My mother was very happy there, especially because they created a strong sense of community where residents and staff interact like family. I cannot thank Island Crest AFH enough for the peace of mind they have given me, knowing that my loved one was in such capable and caring hands. I highly recommend this adult family home to anyone seeking a nurturing and supportive environment for their family members.

I moved to Island Crest AFH earlier this year after I suffered a stroke. I was in a bad shape and couldn't do anything for myself. I had to do physical and occupational therapy to get back on my feet. Tragically, my only family member (sister) passed away shortly after I moved in and the staff supported me through out this difficult time of my life. The staff is phenomenal and consider them family. The care I have received, the food, med management has helped me and made life easier. I am grateful to call Island Crest AFH home.

I don’t know about the previous review since it doesn’t make sense. My dad has been at the home for almost two years and there has only been females residing at the home. I don’t know who this alleged man is. I suspect they are reviewing the wrong home. My dad has had exceptional care by everyone at the home. I have no concerns.

Beware of Carol if she still works there, she is not a nice person. The other person I didn’t trust was the brother of the owner. My dad had gotten sick there several times from the food and ended up with e-coli a couple of times. Dad no longer lives there but it’s just too important to make sure you find the right home for your loved ones. If you don’t have the right people looking after your loved ones, move on to the next place. Just because Carol was a cleaning princess, that does not equate to good care. She spend no time at all socializing with my dad. She was just a mean person.
