Updated review: I am very happy to report that Home Instead took into consideration my prior review and took action! Now they have assigned one caregiver to my parents which has given them consistency! Now my parents are having better days knowing that they will have the same caregiver with whom they'd established a relationship. Moreover, having the same caregiver who knows the routine is essential. This change definitely benefits my parents' well-being! I am happy that Home Instead is a company that values their clients' suggestions. Prior review: They are good about updating you about scheduling and as it changes! However, they do NOT care about clients who've established relationships with the caregivers! There's little consistency with the assigned caregivers! It changes constantly with different people in and out. Even office staff people were assigned who said when they got there that they didn't know what to do! This company should understand that building relationships is the BIGGEST part of caregiving! Also, with Covid, RSV, etc. it's RECKLESS to have little consistency with different caregivers coming in and out! Inconsistency is NOT ideal in caring for the elderly and specifically ones who have medical needs! Finally and most importantly, sometimes the right hand doesn't seem to know what the left is doing with inconsistent information or lying to the client. After reading another review, it's no surprise about the inconsistencies and turnover of caregivers, if clients pay dearly for this service but they nickel and dime/rob the caregivers!!!!!

Home Instead let alone is an very great company and you can tell that the staff in EVERY department actually cares not only about the client but also about the caregivers as well. There are some really amazing people that you don’t get to see often that work behind the scenes. My all time favorite in particular is Vanessa in scheduling, she’s very work oriented. Communication is great and she’s willing to work to find the best fit for the client and also the caregiver.

We have been using Home Instead for over a year now and they continue to exceed our expectations. At the end of the day, for us, it’s all about getting the best care possible for our loved one and being confident they are being well cared for while we are out of the house. The capability, professionalism, and compassion of our caregiver is literally like having a family member come into the home. Our loved one’s care giver quickly established a rapport with him and he trusts, respects, and likes her and will follow her gentle instructions when needed because he knows she respects and likes him (he can tell!). He really looks forward to her visits! This arrangement didn’t happen by chance, The Home Instead staff did a thorough pre-interview and assessment of our home, our loved ones physical and mental situation and matched him to a caregiver who was appropriately trained and could best suit his personality and needs. They made it clear we could change caregivers at any time if things didn’t work out for whatever reason no problems. Their entire office staff from the schedulers, to finance folks to admin have all been very pleasant, accommodating, and professional. The folks at Home Instead have been a true blessing to our family.

Home Instead was the perfect solution to assist my mother as her Alzheimer’s symptoms have progressed. They were able to get us on board and assign her a caregiver within 24 hours of my initial call. My mother benefited from well-trained, trustworthy staff, and their commitment to her quality of life was evident from the start. They assisted her with everyday activities in a caring, compassionate manner. I could not have been more pleased with the caregivers themselves or with the agency overall. Thanks to Home Instead for helping her and me when we needed it the most.
