If I could give a lower score I would. I was a returning employee after taking time off to be a SAHM. I was initially excited because I had odd hours I was available to work, I was assured it was no issue. They need caregivers for many different clients and had a lot of 24/7 clients. You go through your availability as well as preferences when it comes to smoking, pets you have to take care of and so forth. (This comes into play later) Training was a mess, one person couldn't even get their videos to work and when she kept asking for help she was treated like she was a bother. They ended up having to skip through their entire first day without learning anything that was in the videos. We had redo quizzes multiple time before they counted, again treated like bothers if asking for help. One of the office people even ended crying and throwing things in the lobby. Most everyone received a schedule the 2nd day, I had to tell them that they scheduled me outside of my availability, they removed the shifts. The next shifts I was provided with went against all my preferences and they had me scheduled on days they were told I needed off when I started. That Friday when most people started( I still hadn't received a schedule) I got a last minute call about a shift that someone had called out for, since I wasn't assigned a shift previously I didn't have child care lined up. Received and email that day being told to check our schedules often as they change and we need to be aware. They did the same again on Monday and then I was informed it was hard to work with my hours I was available even though this hadn't been brought to my attention. I ended up letting them know this wasn't going to work as I need a schedule to go by not last minute calls about fill in shifts and I would not be continuing my employment with them. After a couple weeks went by I called and a Thursday and let them know the best day I would need to come by for a check stub as well as a paper saying I no longer work there for my records I was told that would be fine. I showed up the next day as discussed and the woman I talked to tried to act like she had no idea what I was talking about. They informed me they could only provide half of what I needed and one employee went up to get my other form. Later she came down empty handed stating she couldn't do that and I would have to have someone fax her. This all could have been communicated the day before. They didn't need to waist more of my time. I think the office needs rehaul and some more training. The certifications people are getting shouldn't be freely handed out.

AVOID THIS PLACE! The staff are exposed to potentially deadly illnesses that they could easily spread. The management knows this and is totally okay with it (there are emails and it's documented.) Imagine your grandma contracting MARSA from the staff because they just came from another house where the client was infected, and precautions weren't taken because, in management's own words, "its not contagious" (Google MARSA and see for yourself.) They treat their staff with blatant disregard for their safety and boundaries. Just stay away.

We have been using Home Instead for over a year now and I couldn’t be happier! From the initial setup with Alex and Lance to the individual ladies that work with us now, Rhonda, Kaitlyn, Sheila and Holly, everyone has been wonderful! They have helped us navigate this new chapter in our family’s life and have been helpful and understanding every step of the way! I would recommend them for anyone needing trustworthy care for their loved ones! Thank you, Home Instead!

I have had experiences with other groups such as Home Instead company. They are always there on time, they send excellent help, they do everything from cook, clean, take care of our loved one while giving confidence to improve on doing this for themselves, they help to teach getting up alone and sitting and standing alone in chairs and out of bed, they follow up on therapy at home that’s given at PT, they teach them to dress themselves, they all cook fabulous , balanced meals, nutrition is important, they go the extra mile. We could not be more pleased with the help Home Instead has provided and the progress our loved one has made under their care. Thank you Home Instead for all the help you have supplied in making our loved one whole again. It has been a hard road and we could not have accomplished it without your help. Thank you so much for all your cooperation and guidance. I could not recommend a better care taking facilitator.
