Do not use this facility. I have been waiting for a month for answers to questions. I have emailed the questions numerous times, called & included the questions with my check but still no answers. I live out of state & popped in to find my husband, his bed & floor covered in feces. His clothes were filthy as well as his room. His room smelled so badly I could smell it down the hall & his door was closed. I was gagging so badly I almost threw up. If he was in this condition in my home I promise you I would be charged with elder abuse. All the care givers were sitting around visiting. I filed a complaint that day & no one has acknowledged it a month later. He wound up in the hospital that day due to the condition of his legs & one aide called me & said there were maggots in his legs. They cleaned him up & put clean clothes on him before calling the ambulance to cover their butts. I have pictures & it is disgusting how they treat the residents. My husband was also a victim of identity theft after moving in & today I found out sn aide was arrested last year for stealing checks & forgery. Now Hospice is coming in so they are bathing him & it makes HollyCourt a little more attentive but not much. I still can’t figure out what I am paying for since he wasn’t bathed, his clothes were filthy & his room was filthy while he is level 3 & all this should be covered. If it takes over a month to just answer some simple questions then you know they don’t actually attend to the residents. Also an aide said they bribe him with cigarettes to shower & he has been through radiation for lung cancer. I do NOT purchase him cigarettes & told Kathy his trust isn’t for cigarettes & is for haircuts only. His hair was to his shoulders when I popped in. I have voiced my concerns of him & another resident smoking on the balcony for fear of a fire. Their reply is we have talked to them & sent them letters. My husband has dementia so do they think he remembers & the other resident furnishes the cigarettes. It is like the residents are running the place.
