I do not recommend this place. While the individuals we met there were all very nice, the staff seemed overworked, there were not enough people on the floor, my phone calls were not returned, and our eventual discharge was handled poorly. The patient is not dead (yet) but the outcome was catastrophic. This place needs MORE FLOOR STAFF, MORE COORDINATION, and BETTER COMMUNICATION WITH FAMILY FROM DAY ONE. Also they need to pay attention to covid precautions, which they are clearly NOT doing. My relative got covid there and it contributed to his precipitous decline. Had it been more clearcut I would be suing by now.

I was in your facility today conducting a visit with one of your residents for our program. I have been in many SNFs across the state of MA over the past 8 years, and I cannot tell you how impressed I was with Holden Rehab. Starting with your receptionist, who was pleasant and helpful; to the facility itself, which was SPOTLESS; and my gracious treatment by various staff I ran into. Extra kudos go to Unit Manager Madison Scampini, RN, who went out of her way to assist me with clinical questions, and offered further contact should I need more information. More importantly, she did it with such a calm, pleasant affect. What a great representation of your organization! Lastly, and most importantly, I saw no residents languishing in the hallways, staff were diligently working, and if you closed your eyes and inhaled, you would never know you were in a SNF.

I would like to commend and recommend Oriol Healthcare, Holden Rehab for the care and treatment provided for my family, and the team was excellent. Nurse Carolyn O’Connell. Aides Sharika Smith and Ethel Dixon. Always making sure my loved one was always clean and well attended too. They are very competent, compassionate and professional, keeping good attitude and personality. We’re very thankful for there dedication and commitment and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

After touring some awful facilities, I found Holden Rehab and Skilled Nursing and it was beautiful. As soon as you walk in it’s bright, clean and smells good. They had a suite available for my mother’s hospice care and it was an immediate yes. Spotless, big, quiet, with windows, a TV, a stand up closet, and a big bathroom. MOST of the staff was amazing. The food looked decent. I took 1 star off for the couple staff members (RN/ CNA’s) who showed little to no compassion, who would walk in give my mother her meds and walk out without even asking her how she felt, or not fixing her pillow / rotating her on her sides when she no longer was able to speak. These concerns were addressed management took action which was appreciated. The doctors and NP were amazing! Thankfully I was able to be with her EVERYDAY to make sure all of her needs were being met. HOWEVER, we also had JHC as her hospice team that came in and were incredible!! I would recommend this facility as it was the best that I personally saw when I was touring different ones. Just make sure you always advocate for your loved ones regardless of the facility. Thank you to the staff who truly cared about my mother, made her smile during a very difficult time, and put the energy into making sure she was comfortable physically and mentally.

I can honestly say that I highly recommend Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center. I have been going here for well over 6 years! First for my Mom who passed in 2018; she went in for rehabilitation after breaking her leg in a fall and after she was discharged home decided she didn't want to live alone anymore. She called me up and asked me if I could get her back in. She loved it there! She loved the staff and all the activities. When it came time to make a decision for my Aunt, who was 97 years young, I decided to once again choose Holden. The facility is always clean, the staff always welcoming. I moved my Aunt from RI away from her friends and her own house. The care they took in making sure she adjusted was amazing! She has so many friends now and every week when I visit and we make our "rounds" there are so many residents and staff who joke and are just happy to see her. Making a decision where to place a parent or Loved one can be very difficult, but I never worry about my Aunt and know she is extremely well cared for.
