I’ve had a very positive experience with Highlands Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. The staff consistently show compassion, professionalism, and genuine care for their residents. I had a wonderful experience with Highlands Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. This is a place where I would have my loved one live, because I truly feel at ease knowing they would be in such good hands. The facility is exceptionally well-run under the leadership of the nurse director, who clearly prioritizes both patient care and staff professionalism. Every employee I encountered was friendly, approachable, and genuinely cared about the residents. The environment is clean, organized, and welcoming. The rooms are neat, well-maintained, and comfortable, creating a pleasant atmosphere for residents and visitors alike. The residents are very well attended to, with staff consistently ensuring their needs are met promptly and compassionately. The quality of care truly stands out. In addition, the food is great, offering residents enjoyable and satisfying meals. I was especially impressed by the variety of activities available, which help keep residents engaged, active, and socially connected. The overall appearance of the facility is beautiful and inviting, making it feel like a safe and supportive place for care. Overall, Highlands Rehabilitation and Health Care Center provides excellent care in a clean, friendly, and well-organized environment. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality rehabilitation or long-term care facility.

Our mother had been at the Highlands for 6 years. Although we recently lost her, the care until the end was so kind and caring. The staff knew her and her family very well when came to visit. They were informative and reached out to us for any level of information we needed to know. So many wonderful caregivers and her last days were so comforting as they kept her comfortable while informing us all along the way. Thank you again for the standard of care anyone would want for a family member.

My father has been at the Highlands since 2017. I could not ask for a better place for him to be. He doesn’t understand a lot of things because of his Alzheimer’s, but he is right at home at the Highlands. The staff is phenomenal! They always answer all of my questions. They never hesitated to call me with concerns. The facility is spotless, so very clean. The staff is always friendly and very, very helpful.I cannot express enough, how grateful I am for this facility in its staff.

The staff at Highlands have been truly amazing! The leadership has given the building a significant change in the culture and energy of the staff throughout the building. You can feel the difference—staff engagement is up, and there’s a lovely warmth and professionalism that fills the community. The management and clinical teams are truly dedicated to creating a positive atmosphere for everyone, including both residents and staff. The passion for care and attention to detail is inspiring. It just goes to show the wonderful things that an amazing team can achieve. This facility is a gem, hidden in Sullivan County, and is a place anyone looking for long term care options should consider.
