This is a great place for your loved one to spend their golden years. I took my mother in law on a tour of the building. They were having fried chicken on a Thursday night and we really loved it. Every person we encountered was friendly and helpful, both staff and residents alike. My mother in law will be making the transition in the next year or so and this is where she wants to go.

This place should be run correct the elevators don't work half the time rude management seems like they don't care I see one housekeeper working all the time and the other one always on her phone sitting down not doing anything

Hickory Glen had very patient staff with our Aunt, while she lived there. We were very disappointed in how her time there ended. We were given 20 minutes notice that she could not return from the hospital. We were there over 2 weeks cleaning out her apartment and said if they needed anything to please let us know. 7 months later we got a forwarded letter from a collection agency. It had been sent to an incorrect address for the Aunt in memory care. I had to pay it to get information. I don't believe a bill had ever been sent until they sent it to collections. I contacted both Hickory Glen and the parent company with questions but they have never bothered to respond.

They only care about money here, not the people. They have not -for years- been able to keep the elevators working or rid the building of bed bugs. The whole place is not cleaned as it should be, housekeeping is a joke. And management never returns calls or answers emails, they are very hard to get ahold of with concerns.
