I thought this place finally had hope I saw a smile from my mom cause this summer they finally had someone who cared Lisa then I came back for thanksgiving and it's back to being horrible. A drunk maintenance man who only does repairs if you give money. They treat them tenants horrible and threaten eviction if they speak. Someone speak up for our elders.

My Wife and I visited the rental community and spoke with the Manager Lisa . She was very professional and took the time to answer all of are questions. Highly recommend.

I had looked at this place before and wasn’t interested, but when I came back recently and met the new property manager, Lisa, it felt completely different. I even talked with some of the residents—both people I spoke to before and now—and they all had good things to say. You can tell people feel more hopeful with her here. Lisa is approachable, professional, and really makes this community feel like a place worth living.

I moved here at 895 Elton Adelphia Road in August of 2019. Initially it was ok. The building manager Alexis (at the time) was somewhat accommodating. About 1 year or so Alexis left the job. Since then we’ve had several people take this job and the turn over was incredible.<br>This building has I believe 157 apartments and we have 1 superintendent who’s responsible for keeping the place clean. Minor repairs etc.<br>He does the best he can, as he is the only person here.<br>From the beginning of my residency here I complained about the current condition of my apartment. The kitchen tiles are as old as this building and are broken. I told Alexis about it and told her the flooring really needs replacing. Sure, sure, sure, and I’m still waiting. Zippo !<br>The carpeting is also very old and worn not to mention dirty. Upper management said that when I agreed to taking the apartment, I signed a form that says I approved of this apartment.<br>But the fact is that the apartment I was shown had new rugs, and new kitchen tiles.<br>Then they did the old bait and switch and I was given this dump.<br>It’s pathetic how management totally ignores us. Now for the past month, actually a bit longer, our water pressure is very weak. The super said that a new pump needs to replace the old one. Ok, fair enough, but it’s still not done. Makes taking a shower nearly impossible. Can’t use dishwasher as pressure not powerful enough to clean the dishes. When calling the management which is located @ 1970 Brunswick Avenue Lawrence NJ and owns this as well as other buildings exactly like this one. No one ever picks up the phone and if it goes to voicemail you leave a message. But I never, ever get a callback. Im a senior citizen with some health issues and this run around is driving me nuts. So if anyone wants to move into this building, think again.<br>😖

My mother has been a resident of Heritage Village at Elton Corner for 15 years. To say that the conditions of the facilities, response to tenants' concerns, and overall quality has steeply declined in recent years would be a gross understatement.<br><br>Incidents of safety hazards, health code violations, negligence and substandard living conditions are increasingly frequent, and they are dismissed, ignored or addressed in a manner that can best be described as the absolute bare minimum. Staff turnover is overwhelming high, and both the office and maintenance staff has ranged from caring but impotent to downright vindictive. It seems those in charge approach screening and hiring of staff with the same indifference as they apply to their tenants' living conditions.<br><br>Residents have contacted the corporate offices, local officials, and the Housing Authority but to no avail. And due to the lack of affordable housing in the area, the elderly and disabled tenants are left with little recourse.<br><br>That any corporation is allowed to exploit desperate, vulnerable individuals to such a degree and still remain in business is abhorrent. I fear it is only a matter of time before a tragedy occurs due to their negligence, and these corporate slumlords are sued and bankrupted by the affected tenants and their families.
