Every once in a while, you come across a medical establishment that makes you feel like you are truly cared for. From admitting to the cardiology department, to the recovery unit, I believe is called PACU (sp?), I felt at home and loved. They even prayed over us and that meant more then words can describe.

If I could give 0 stars I most definitely would!!
Went into the ER 7/9 c/o right flank pain. Previous hospital stays due to sepsis, and a genetic liver disease. No Ct scans, got diagnosed with a UTI and sent home on antibiotics. Husband came home from work 7/10 (around 4 pm after not hearing from me all day) found me out of it. Brought me to another hospital and we are on night two of admissions due to sepsis. Tachycardia, 100.7 fever, & white count elevation. The antibiotic Hendricks gave me wouldn’t even treat the infection I have. My doctor told me to thank my husband for bringing me in or else I’d be a lot worse!
Hendricks told my husband to give me Tylenol for pain after the doctor & nurse were informed that I’m not supposed to take Tylenol due to my liver, stated by previous doctors.
I’m sure that bill will come speedy after they sent me home to die though! Good hospitals could atleast cross their T’s & dot their I’s, but in this case, this hospital failed me.
With that being said, I DO NOT recommend Hendricks Memorial. Entire almost 7 hours I waited there felt like a joke.

Today I was ignored and pushed out of the emergency room like I didn’t matter at all. I came into the ER with horrible neck pain where my lymph node is. The doctor came in, assumed it was just tooth pain and said he’d give me something to make it feel better. A few minutes later a nurse came in with discharge papers and told me to go home without receiving any medical care. I complained and finally got them to give me a prescription for antibiotics at bare minimum, they refused to let me see the dr again and basically told me they don’t care about my problems or my pain….but I bet they will care about getting there money. I even filed a complaint with the administration only to find out they weren’t going to do anything about it anyway…so all in all I can just go screw myself I guess. Hendrix is the only option in town for healthcare…and that’s a crying shame.
