I am delighted to recommend this Agency. When my mother reached the point where she needed (but would refuse!) outside help, I called Helping Hands. I am SO GLAD I did! Owners Earl & Shellee came out the next morning, assessed the need of care and assigned the PERFECT caregiver - who rapidly became mom's new friend and highlight of her days! They genuinely cared about her, her quirks and humor, listening if she wanted to talk, patiently hearing many things again and again. They appreciated who she was. As mom’s needs increased they understood her strong desire for privacy and independence as they took care of her. Our family so appreciated the compassion and personal interest shown Mom in her last days. Their presence was endearing to us as a family. Caring at the end of life is a very emotional and challenging experience. Make sure you work with agencies who can and will support your loved one through this entire process! It takes a special people to know what to do and say. Helping Hands capable service and care were over and above expectations. They were willing to go “above and beyond” the call of duty attending to her special needs. They always kept us informed of problems. Moms last years were fuller because of the competent and kind caregivers who became dear friends, allowing her to be cared for at home during her last days, her biggest wish. Having the owners of this company attend to her personally exceeded my expectations! They showed a personal interest in my mother and became like family.
