Many of the staff have been with the facility for years, which speaks to the positive environment and consistency of care. Families are always welcomed and truly made to feel like part of the community. I highly recommend this facility.

My father has recently transitioned from ALF to Heartland. Living out of the state and helping my mother (who co-signs this review) through this process has been daunting, to say the least. When dad was discharged from the hospital to Heartland, sight unseen, I had no idea what to expect. Mom called in a panic because the facility itself was not as modern as where dad had been living before. But the building is just a building. It’s the people that make all of the difference, and what a difference they have made. From the start, the admissions and financial staff have worked their magic, taking their time to communicate with us and explain everything as often as we need, returning phone calls promptly, finding additional ways to help us, and strongly advocating for dad’s needs in ways we never anticipated. The nursing and care staff are so incredibly kind, caring, supportive, and respectful of all of the residents. Their training for working with patients with dementia is evident in all of their interactions. The social worker and the rehabilitation staff have taken time to speak with us, reassure us, and advocate for dad’s continued needs. While I can’t speak to the food, dad seems to enjoy it and his nutritional needs are being met while also being mindful of allergies and preferences. And finally, while a building is just a building, this is one that is very quickly and extremely well maintained. As long as dad is happy, mom is happy. And if mom is happy, I can breathe a sigh of relief from 1500 miles away.

I have a friend who lives there and I think they are great, so does he. It does not smell like some homes can. Sometimes there is a language barrier between my friend and some of the Haitian workers/nurses but they do what they can to work out what ever he needs. For someone with memory issues this is a great place to be. All the staff is supper supportive and always willing to help!!

Not a good match for what my Mom needed. Some employees very nice. Some not so much. Mostly clean. No odor. Some employees should really consider a career change. Working in health care takes a huge heart and tons of patience.

I have my husband Julio Sosa in this facility since last Nov, 2025. I don't have words to describe how grateful I am with everybody that cross his path. He doesn't speak English but they find the way to understand and cover his needs. The place always impeccable and has many activities even he doesn't participate but they are there for patients to enjoy. He has incipient dementia and sometimes it is hard to please him but they still find the way to do so. Nurses and staff are treating patients with love and respect. This is a place I would recommend to anybody that need to place their live one and call it home....
