Maybe they have helped others but they went out of their way to make sure I wasn't supported. I (am still) in transition or unhoused (homeless) but while I was seeking mental health due to the stress of leaving an abuser/being homeless/ broken bones: I suffered actual physical health issues- on top of that I was trying to attend a group session in a building that PROMISED to have an elevator but every week I went it was "getting repaired next week". My health declined. I ended up hospitalized and asked if I could 'attend' via phone and the 'counselor' I had said their supervisor wouldn't allow it, and "I am leaving in a few weeks", I wasn't helped/set up with anyone else and I was almost a year without transportation and they still kept telling me I HAD TO COME IN. Then Covid hit. Not only did I get dropped in my lowest, but I wasn't ever actually given any resources in which I could find ways to help myself. I am still unofficially unhoused, I have learned how to deal with my stress (probably in unhealthy ways) but I do the best I can with what little I have - I always have and will continue to have to do. The saddest part is that they ALL made me feel like I caused my problems by leaving my ex (whom had already left me with broken bones); I didn't abuse myself but they made me feel like I was over reacting when I had a PPO, and because I had noone that could take me. I guess they felt I was/am a lost cause (maybe I am). I have lost some friends since, (users aren't friends) due to their behaviors and my eyes opening to them not actually wanting to see me get out of this; I don't have anyone in the world that loves me enough to be an ear or advise me in any sense, but it's been this way since I was in single digits, why should I stop the streak of self sufficiency now? Thanks, for nothing, the one gift that can't be taken back . . .

Everyone at HCRS is absolutely amazing. Everyone makes me feel so welcomed, and all of the groups are great. Everything there is so helpful and I look forward to the days I go. Thank you so much everyone.
