I visit Maria at Hayward Healthcare & Wellness Center a lot, and it feels calm and welcoming. The staff really know her, therapy keeps her moving, and the activities & games brighten her day. Having a Private room has been a big benefit.

My family visited several facilities and Hayward Healthcare and Wellness Center was by far the best. The staff was friendly and it had no off-putting odors. The day I arrived we discovered that the previous facility changed my medication. One of the lead nurses, Diana, spent hours working with her supervisor to make sure I had what I needed. All the nurses were helpful and the CNA’s worked hard to keep us clean, fed, and comfortable. I will especially miss Thalia, Violet, and Marilyn. Speaking of food, it was mostly delicious! Everything is cooked on the premises. I believe they use a menu service that supplies recipes and grocery lists . The food was much better than what I was served at Stanford and UCSF. The therapy I received was also great. Sean and the two OTs took me from barely standing to walking 15 steps in a week’s time.The building is old but it’s been updated inside with nice flooring and fresh paint. The bed frames are old but the mattresses are modern and comfortable. I was privileged enough to have a room with a sliding door with views of their patio, flowers, and redwood trees. I also want to mention that the administration was flexible and worked with my husband’s many requests.

Hayward Heathcare and Welness Center Is a 10 out of 10 for care rehabilitation and staff. The staff is all very caring and took excelent care of my wife after her stroke. She was there almost 2 months and had remarkable improvement in her condition. The facilty is clean and well kept. Meals are varied and my wife found them tasty. Our case manager Ness did a excellent job keeping us informed

The building looks small from the outside but after coming inside, it is very spacious and clean. Had so many wellness center to chose from , but I am glad I chose this one for my mom's hip rehab. The staff are wonderful and take care of their patients and well being. It has a family environment where patients interact and get along. The activity room where patients can watch TV together is a great way to interact among themselves and to participate in activities The large patio outside could be improved upon so that the patients could enjoy being outside.

I’m incredibly grateful for the care my family member, Tuyet, has received at Hayward Healthcare and Wellness. The facility itself is clean, welcoming, and truly feels supportive for both residents and their families. Every staff member we’ve interacted with has been kind, attentive, and professional. I especially want to recognize Nes, who has been absolutely wonderful—so empathetic, compassionate, and genuinely supportive. Nes consistently goes above and beyond to make sure Tuyet feels comfortable, heard, and cared for, and always treats our family with warmth and patience. You can truly feel the kindness and dedication in every interaction, and that level of heartfelt care brings us so much peace of mind. It’s rare to meet someone who combines professionalism with such genuine compassion, and we are deeply thankful for everything Nes does each day. Thank you to the entire team for providing such thoughtful care. Our family feels comforted knowing Tuyet is in a place where she is respected, supported, and well cared for. We are truly happy with this facility and deeply appreciate everything you do.
