The CNAs at Haven of Tucson were always quick to respond whenever I needed help, which gave me so much peace of mind. I also appreciated that my doctor continued caring for me at this facility. A special thank you to Tahnee, her kindness and compassion truly stood out. She cared not only for me but also for my roommate, and it was clear she genuinely loves what she does. Thank you for the wonderful care! Our family had a wonderful experience at Haven of Tucson. Mike from RT was amazing and the ladies from OT. They were all kind, compassionate, and truly went above and beyond. The food was also surprisingly delicious! We've been to other facilities where the meals weren't edible, so this was a huge difference. Thank you to the entire team for making such a difficult time easier.

Our family will forever be grateful to everyone at Haven of Tucson. Our loved one was on hospice, and while losing someone is never easy, the compassion, kindness, and dignity your staff showed made their transition as peaceful as possible. You cared not only for our family member but for all of us during one of the hardest times in our lives. Thank you for treating them with such respect and love. We will never forget the comfort and support you gave our family.

I absolutely cannot express how wonderful the care team here is. Chris, Paxton, and the entire team went above and beyond expectations after my nana was had surgery and needed rehabilitation. My family felt the whole process from start to discharge was professional, smooth, and easy. The compassion and determination you experience from this facility to help your family is unmatched and unlike any other place I’ve ever been. Definitely will be recommending to other friends and family members.

The therapy team was amazing. Christina was great. James was consistently patient, knowledgeable, and professional, always taking the time to answer our questions. The social work team was also excellent, especially Malinda. She clearly explained the discharge process, provided extremely helpful resources, and was very knowledgeable. Her professionalism and positive attitude made a difficult situation much easier. Christian and Amy from nursing were kind and compassionate, and we appreciated the care. Unfortunately, during a care meeting, an insurance case manager, I believe her name was Dani, was shockingly unprofessional. She did not acknowledge our family at all, showed up looking disheveled and unkempt, and spent the meeting giggling with James instead of paying attention. When we expressed concerns, she rolled her eyes, acted visibly annoyed, and behaved as though our presence was an inconvenience. She contributed absolutely nothing to the meeting and offered no information, guidance, or support. Her dismissive attitude was inappropriate and disrespectful during an important discussion about my mother-in-law’s care. James remained professional throughout, and it was clear her behavior made the situation uncomfortable. This type of conduct is unacceptable in a healthcare setting. Families deserve respect, attentiveness, and professionalism, especially during critical care and discharge discussions. While some staff truly go above and beyond, this interaction should be taken seriously and addressed.

Update: Day 3 at the Haven Health Tucson has been a blessing! The staff's kindness and willingness to help have touched my heart. As someone on hospice care, I was anxious and sleepless my first night, but meeting my hospice doctor was a highlight - he reminds me of Fred Flintstone 😅. Thanks to the pain patch and new medications, I'm 94.8% pain-free! I slept all day after a restful night, but the day nurse was concerned when I didn't respond - turns out I just needed a long rest. My vitals were low, but I'm feeling better now. My hospice care team is visiting tomorrow, and I'm savoring every bite of the delicious homemade food - the croissant with egg whites and Swiss cheese was heavenly! The apple-smothered pork chops and sausage with onions and coleslaw were also amazing. I've even started reading the Bible and coloring to cope with past traumas. John 3:5-12 resonated with me, reminding me of the importance of spiritual birth. Bring on Day 4!
