The staff is friendly, caring and attentive. The facilities are clean and there's plenty of natural light in the home. We could not have found a better place for our family member who needed care and comfort during his final months.

I toured several facilities when my dad needed assistance in his twilight years. After visiting Desert Gardens, I knew that I didn’t need to look any further. Given that I live out of state, I was concerned about the quality of care he would receive if I wasn’t visiting on a daily/weekly basis. Tiffany and her team checked in with me regularly and put my mind at ease. They were so incredibly accommodating to all of my dad’s needs and so caring throughout his stay.

We loved Desert Gardens!<br>My Mom arrived at DG last year in very poor health. The kind and caring staff at DG helped save my Mom’s life.<br>The manager, Tiffany, was always extremely helpful and communicative with me (which I so appreciated especially since I live out of state). The entire staff really, genuinely cared for my Mom and her health and safety.<br>The meals and food they prepare at DG are delicious and well balanced. The home itself is clean, well maintained and rests in the beautiful foothills of Tucson. My Mom loved to sit outside and enjoy the mountain view. We had a private room with its own bathroom; which we were so grateful for because that wasn’t always an available option at other homes.<br>At DG, the residents and their families are the number one priority. My Mom has recently left DG to return home, but while she was there, I had peace of mind knowing she was safe and well cared for. My Mom has said she misses the staff and the residents that live there. I absolutely, highly recommend Desert Gardens!

Where does one begin in trying to find the best place, the final home for one's loved ones? This was the question facing me in seeking a home for my two elderly parents. To make a long story short, the task is incredibly long, frustrating, and difficult. After visiting a dozen places and having moved my elderly parents from two assisted living facilities, I could not believe my good fortune in having been connected with Desert Gardens on Hacienda del Sol Road with Tiffany and her amazing care team.<br><br>I was incredibly fortunate to have both my parents live there from May 2021 until their passing in December 2022 and 2023! In short, I could not have asked for better care on every front for my parents. The actual physical home is absolutely gorgeous, with the center piece being a living room floor to ceiling picture window focused on the Catalina Mountains. This view oozes relaxation and calmness. The meals are nutritious and tasty, and as much as possible, the staff always tries to accommodate individual requests. There are regularly scheduled activities for the residents, and the once a week art session with Martha is phenomenal in revealing hidden and/or buried artistic talents or just helping residents build on their artistic creativity. I loved observing how my parents' cognitive functions improved overall just from this experience!<br><br>While the above-mentioned aspects of an assisted living facility are important, they mean nothing if the nursing and medical care is not excellent. This is THE reason my parents remained here until their passing. Tiffany and her team is unsurpassed in Tucson in this regard. In fact, when my mother entered Desert Gardens, she was in hospice due to terrible care at another local assisted living facility. My mother flourished at Desert Gardens and eventually came off hospice.<br><br>I never had to worry if my mother was receiving her meds, and I was always notified in a timely matter about significant changes in her status. In terms of patient care, she was attended to in a timely manner, and the caregivers were extraordinary in their compassion and work with residents.<br><br>While Desert Gardens is as close to "perfect" as one can get, no place is perfect. Another aspect that I really appreciated was how Desert Garden's staff and leadership approached problems and issues. If I had an issue or problem concerning my parents, Tiffany, the manager, and Chaz, the owner, were always willing to have a conversation and address the issue. This willingness to communicate with residents' families was critical in helping me entrust my parents into their care, especially living 1500 miles away.<br><br>If you are looking for a phenomenal assisted living facility, look no further! You have found one in Deserrt Gardens Hacienda.
