My mother has been at Harvest Hill now for about a year and a half. From the moment you enter the building, it feels warm and vibrant. The entire staff seems to be up to speed on her changing needs and actively acts in ways that help her feel seen and cared for. The nursing and care staff are especially knowledgable and proactive in their work. As her needs have increased, the staff at Harvest Hill have responded to support her. There may come a time when Harvest Hill will not be able to fully meet her needs, but until then, she is in a place that makes her feel safe, well cared for, and provides enriching events and activities that encourages her to stay involved and thrive to the best of her ability.

As I reflect on the process of joining the Harvest Hill family, I realized how very much at home I felt during the initial interview with Carol. My family and I left knowing this was the right place and proceeded to make a formal application. The process from the beginning to the actual move-in was smooth and easy, thanks to Carol's careful guidance. Carol Kolenski is a lifesaver. When it looked like options for assisted living for my husband were coming up short, Carol, thanks to her collaborative nature, alerted me to an opening at another facility. Everything has worked out well, and although Harvest Hill was not the appropriate facility in our case, we are happy with how everything has turned out. All thanks to Carol. Harvest Hill has been the perfect place for my mother for the past 4 years. She is now 100 years old, a birthday that we celebrated with family in one of the facility’s attractive community spaces. She is still independent, but help is always available to her around the clock in case of any emergency. The nursing staff is kind and responsive and there is a full schedule of activities available to her to help her keep her mind and body active. The dining room offers a varied menu with lots of choices so she can always find something to suit her mood that she can enjoy with the company of friends or in her apartment if she prefers. I highly recommend Harvest Hill for its comfortable and stimulating environment for the residents as well as peace of mind for family members.

We moved our parents into Harvest Hill in March 2020, one day before the world shut down for the pandemic. They had been at Wheelock Terrace for 18 months prior to that, and I am very glad they made the move.<br><br>The staff at Harvest Hill is outstanding. From the director to the nurses, aides, maintenance & housekeeping workers, front desk, activities, kitchen & support staff, the people who work there are caring, conscientious, and professional. The nurses are excellent communicators about their concerns or reports about mom (dad passed in 2023). The kitchen staff goes out of their way to deliver delicious food and make accommodations for health issues. The facility is always spotless. It is a healthy and safe environment for our 98-year old mom.<br><br>We are so grateful to the employees who takes such good care of the residents and who welcome family members and friends for visits.
