After a bad fall & a stint in the hospital, my condition was deteriorating physically, mentally, & spiritually. We searched in vain for help, and with the assistance of Brianna from the KY state office , I was placed at Harrodsburg Health & Rehabilitation Center. I was nervous and leery of what to expect. I have exceedingly high standards & expectations of professionalism after having a 50+ year career in management. My reservations about what to expect were answered in short order. From the first conversational welcome to my last minute at the facility, I received nothing short of the utmost respect and treatment with dignity and care. Meals were timely, very good quality, and satisfyingly tasty. And the meals were always served by such helpful, caring individuals who offered assistance with everything from stirring sweetener into drinks to opening milk cartons to slicing ham and steak portions. Daily physical and occupational therapies are administered by personable, caring individuals who have the patient's best interests in mind and offer positive encouragement all along the process. In closing , these are wonderful people who care for us when we need it and do this work without complaint and with a smile and helpful encouragement. All-stars on this list of names would be (not in order of importance ) Dustin, Missy, Barry, Allison, Kristen, Megan, Alex, Jennifer,Bella, and so many more. God bless them all, and so many thanks to you all for restoring me to physical, mental, and spiritual health

They kept my Mother from getting to her bathroom to use as an excuse to put her in diapers when she first got sent here. She had bedsores within 2 months of living there. They were rude to her. A relative sent her an entire cheesecake that the nurses kept at the desk and ate themselves. She never got 1 piece of that cheesecake. Do not put your loved ones in this place.

My mom spent the last few weeks of her life here and the staff could not have been nicer. Nurses, assistants, administrators, maintenance crew, custodians, doctors, therapists and others all gave her the best possible care and more importantly constantly showed her love. Administrator Jessica Toth just sparkles as she goes about doing her job and anything else she sees doing but yet found time to visit with my mom. My mother thought aides Maggie and Felicity were her granddaughters because they treated her so well. If she needed something, someone was always there and willing to help. They made a difficult time easier for her and us and I will never ever forget what this staff did for my mother.

Is the option for zero stars available? We had the unfortunate situation where our mother was placed in this disgusting place. It is hard to decide where to start. * The urine stench hits you as soon as you walk through the door. * The food is unidentifiable, always cold. * The wing my mother was in was without hot water for 4 days recently. * My mother was left with a wet diaper without anyone looking after her for hours. * Bed sores. * My first encounter I had to ask for soap and hand sanitizer for her room because both dispensers were empty. * Her clothing kept disappearing. (shoes included) They told me they would reimburse me for the clothing...I am still waiting. * Her toothbrush was taken...two of them. * I called and the front desk woman thought she put me on hold but didn't. She told the person I had asked for "If you don't want to talk to her, I can just hang up on her" and the phone went dead. * The restroom in my mothers room was filthy. No one ever flushes OR cleans the area. There are so many problems with this facility, a complete overhaul of personnel AND deep cleaning of the building is VERY necessary. We were lucky. Found a wonderful place that actually cares about their patients and the facilities cleanliness!
