My partner went here for rehab after having a fall. The place is a total dump. It was dirty, dingy, and totally run down. He hated it and said that the services he recieved were very poor. I do not recommend this place.

There are a lot of negative posts, but I will say this they are massively under staffed, the physical and occupational therapy were fantastic they desperately need more equipment to do there jobs more effectively. But the staff worked very hard to make people comfortable and encouraged them to progress. If I had any issues they did there very best to help and rectify the issue. GOD forbid if I ever had to do this over again I would not hesitate to come back here. Life is what we put in to it. And our minds can dictate alot more than people realize. Have patience and they will take care of you. They have good caring hearts.

The workers are amazing they make u feel at home they become family over the years some one to talk to like big and little brothers and sisters aunties and uncles and of course MADRE as mother for those who don’t know. It has its ups and downs like any other ther normal place I can foresee it getting better in the future.

I had a left hip replacement done on January 23, 2026. I spent a week in UPMC Western MD hospital and started physical and occupational therapy. I came to Hagerstown Healthcare Center on Thursday, January 29 to continue my therapy. From the moment I arrived I was treated very well and my every need was attended to. In my opinion, this is the best rehabilitation center I have been to. I have gotten to know the staff, from the doctors, nurses(all titles), physical and occupational therapy. I really have felt at home being here. I love the positive atmosphere here, it really does help when you are recovering from a major surgery and everyone welcomes you with open arms and makes you feel like a part of their family. I definitely will be recommending Hagerstown Healthcare Center to anyone if they need to go to an out of town facility. I am going to miss everyone when I go home. Thank you Hagerstown Healthcare Center for taking such good care of me and making me feel part of the family.

RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!! Dirty, employees overworked, unhappy and discussing feelings outside of clients rooms. When they were putting new flooring in the rooms, EVERYONE were moved to the sunroom. Coughing, sneezing, vomiting and bowel movements were all in one room. Vegetarian meals were none existent. The few items might be considered vegetarian was served over and over. Meals were brought in by church members. On a Saturday morning, patient needed to urinate. The overworked aid, moved the patient to a sitting position at the side of the bed. Leaving him alone, she went to the next room. Needless to say, he stood up and fell, hitting his head. The next day he passed away. Since he fell and hit his head the hospice nurse was required to report it to Maryland State Medical examiner. His body was taken to Baltimore for an autopsy. The 1st diagnosis was a brain bleed. On top of all that they billed us over 3K. We are still in the time frame to file for status of limitations. Who knows what may happen. I WOULD NEVER TAKE ANYONE TO THIS PLACE!!
