My mom Heidi has been here 15 years! The staff is very caring, engaging, thoughtful. I live 1100 miles away and they have become my mom’s second family. Head nurse Emily is BEYOND Caring. She truly cares about her patients and loves her job. I said to her my mom needs her hair done, this was the aftermath literally the following day. Gurwin, Please take care of this young lady in return !!!

My mother spent three weeks at Gurwin and our family could not be more pleased with the care she received. From the moment she arrived, the staff was consistently kind, compassionate, and attentive to her needs. Her room was always clean and well maintained, which gave us great piece of mind. The doctors took the time to listen carefully, answer questions, and involve her in her care plan. We always felt that her concerns were heard and addressed with genuine care and professionalism. One of the highlights of her stay was the therapy team. She genuinely looked forward to her physical and occupational therapy sessions every day. The therapists were encouraging, knowledgeable, and helped her make significant progress while keeping her motivated and positive. The entire staff created a welcoming and supportive environment that made a challenging time much easier for both my mother and our family. We are extremely grateful for the excellent care she received and would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of rehabilitation services.

If you are thinking about leaving your loved ones in the care of this place, do not leave them alone. The staff was nice to my family's face, but when we would leave my grandfather he was treated with so much disrespect. It is baffling and horrifying to think of how other patients are treated, especially those who cannot verbalize their concerns. The PT people were the only good thing about this facility. I understand understaffing, but the way the patients are treated by some of the staff is beyond disrespectful and completely unprofessional.

Recently admitted our Dad to this amazing facility. The staff is always friendly compassionate and knowledgeable. My Dad is thriving here. All direct care staff and support staff have been amazing. Every time I go there the staff always welcomes you with a warm smile and someone is always cleaning something. One of the cleanest facilities I’ve ever been in. I would recommend this place without hesitation for a loved one who can benefit from the expert care. I always say you can’t fake caring and this place is second to none. Thank you to the entire Gurwin team for taking such good care of my Dad and by them taking care of Dad my Mom is doing so much better at home as always. They made a tough decision so easy.

I'd give the quality of the therapy a solid 10 - the therapists were absolutely superb. The nurses and aides were fabulous - another solid 5. Ditto for the staff. The food I'd give 3-4 -- Not a lot of choice and limited to kosher only. Also, more care needs to be given by foodservice staff to carefully ensuring that residents receive what they ordered and don't receive what they don't want. I can count on one hand the number of times I received exactly what I ordered. Overall my stay at Gurwin was a good one and I left with a positive opinion of the facility.
