I’m disabled. THOYA is abusive!! She yells. She left me alone in the shower without a towel. I asked her to go run an errand, her response, You know door dash delivers that? When I asked her to leave because I didn’t feel safe, she wouldn’t leave my house! Scary.

We're thankful for the care my husband's uncle received from the Griswold team. During the 4+ years we used services, it was almost always easy to reach the team and discuss our needs, which was a comfort during unexpected health events and changes.

Griswold cared for my mother with Dementia for almost one year. Griswolds communication is outstanding and the caregivers went above and beyond to care for my mother. We did have to work through a few caregivers until we found caregivers that were the right personality and fit but once we did the admin staff and the caregivers were outstanding. Thank you for going above and beyond!

Recently I hired Griswold for my 95 year old Mother who I have been taking care of for 6-years now who has Alzheimer’s in order to give me more time to run errands and get some time for myself. I hired them to come Monday thru Friday from 1:00-5:00pm.and on the first day even stayed with them and showed them what to do as we have a routine that needs to be followed for my Mom to feel comfortable. I contracted for Griswold to do the following: • Always be with my Mother and use the walker or wheelchair. • Be sure to keep her hydrated with liquids. • Have her walk and do her chair and counter exercises. Griswold FAILED to fulfill their contract by not following their own protocols: • The Caregiver left my Mother in the house alone on Friday by leaving 2-minutes before her shift was to end without any phone call to Griswold to get a replacement or a call to myself to return home. When I arrived home I found my Mother by herself with her bed rail on the floor and about to get out of bed. (She is a “fall risk”and always needs someone with her, and must use her walker or wheelchair at all times). We are very lucky that my Mother didn’t fall and break her hip or we would be suing Griswold for “Elderly Neglect”. • Her Depends were never changed during the 4-hours the Caregiver was here as it was clear they were soaking wet.Typically I take her to the bathroom, so she rarely wets her Depends.This told me the Caregiver just left her in bed during those 4-hours. • The Caregiver failed to make tea and give my Mother cookies as I had requested since I had given her lunch earlier. (The teapot was dry and the cookies were never opened). If you are thinking about using Griswold, I would strongly recommend that you do unannounced drop-by visits to check on your loved one in order to avoid the recent shock we experienced by their incompetent lack of fulfilling their contract of rendering quality Caregiving.

I am handicapped and currently Live alone. I need help doing normal daily chores, such as preparing breakfast, other meals, doing light laundry, washing dishes, and generally straightening up the house. Griswold has provided me with outstanding personnel to help me do those chores. They always arrive on time, ready to help, and do an outstanding job for me. Griswold is also very responsive to my changing schedules. Many of my doctors are in northern Virginia since I can’t find some of those specialties here in lower Delaware. This requires me to change my schedule with Griswold sometimes one day in advance or even less. They have always been responsive to these unforeseen and time sensitive schedule changes.
