I highly recommend Excelcare for their outstanding senior living environment and exceptional staff. Their facility is always clean and welcoming, and the staff are consistently friendly, engaging, and supportive during our Positive Music Time Musical Activity Program. We provide residents with a joyful one-hour musical experience, including hand instruments and themed word searches, and it’s inspiring to see how much they enjoy the music despite many being in wheelchairs. Excelcare’s dedication to creating a positive, inclusive atmosphere truly enhances the residents’ well-being and makes our visits a pleasure.

It was very difficult to place my mother in a nursing home. The staff at Excelcare at Lewes made it so much easier. Pam Graham calmed my anxieties and walked me through the process step by step. When I felt overwhelmed, Pam, searched for answers and encouraged me until the problem was solved. She is obviously experienced, dedicated, and compassionate. I'm so very grateful for all that Pam is doing for me and my mother.

My husband lived at Excelcare (formerly Harbor Healthcare) for almost 3 years, mostly in their Lewes unit, the memory care ward, until he passed away recently. He had continually declined with Parkinson's Disease, making the efforts of the nurses, the aides, & the physical therapists more and more difficult. I appreciated all of them for how hard they worked every day, a job I could no longer even attempt. His comfort was of utmost importance to his friend Nurse Mary up until the moment he passed away. It seemed that many of the residents there became part of a family, including the staff, which was heartwarming, especially for those residents who rarely get visitors. The central area is like a living room, welcoming those who live there & any who do visit. Thank you, Excelcare, & Accent Hospice, for allowing us to be part of your very caring group, & for making his final chapter much more pleasant.

My dad’s second visit to this facility for respite care with dementia. Nurse Mary, Bethany Hall, has always taken good care of him above and beyond expectations which has provided trust and reassurance to his family. This is a tough hall to work in but the staff has good rep-ore with their tenants which is evident through the tenants reactions with the staff. The only thing I wish for the facility is updated equipment, beds, furniture, and a better laundry system. Thank you Excel care for keeping him safe!
