Grandwood isn’t just an assisted living facility, it’s a place where genuine care shows up in the smallest, most meaningful ways. From day one, the staff stood out for their kindness, professionalism, and responsiveness. The administrators are approachable, quick to help, and truly invested in both residents and their families. My dad lived at Grandwood for nearly five years, and my husband and I visited every Sunday. Over that time, we saw firsthand what makes this place so special. The rooms are consistently clean and well cared for, but what really sets Grandwood apart is the heart of the staff. They go far beyond basic care, they create connection and dignity. I watched staff sit at a table playing cards with a resident who wasn’t really playing, just so they could feel included. I saw someone notice a resident might be cold and quietly bring them a sweater without being asked. These moments may seem small, but they speak volumes about the compassion and attentiveness of the people who work there. Grandwood gave us peace of mind and gave my dad a place where he was treated with kindness and respect every single day. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better home for him. We feel incredibly fortunate to have been part of the Grandwood community. Thank you, Grandwood, for setting such a high standard and for caring so deeply for the people who call your facility home.

My grandmother was at his facility for a short amount of time. She loved it! Friendly and caring staff. You walk in the doors of the main building and you are hit with the wonderful aroma of food that they cook for the residents. Thank you for all that you do!!!

I have experience both with Grandwood’s Assisted living side, and the memory care side of their senior facility. I would like to recommend them to any person that is dealing with the difficult decision of how to care for their elderly parent when being in their own home is no longer feasible. My experience has been that Grandwood is resident oriented, family oriented, less turnover of employees, great nursing staff, and has administrators that care about the families, and also care about their employees. This all works together to produce an environment where the resident’s best interests are served. Grandwood is privately owned and I believe this is a factor also in the level of personalized care they are able to offer. We have had personal experience with other facilities before we moved our loved one to Grandwood in Grove, Oklahoma, and there has been no comparison. Mom’s care was better at Grandwood and her health actually improved until her very final days. We would recommend all families take a look and talk to the staff at Grandwood if you are considering out of home care for a parent or loved one.

Our mother stayed here. We were not impressed. Especially when her dementia worsened. They basically kicked her out. They packed her belongings, at least some of them, and left them at the front door. We are still waiting for the rest of her belongings to be returned.
