Grandview Center

Grandview Center is a 72-bed skilled nursing facility in Cumberland, Rhode Island, providing Short-Stay Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care with 24-hour medical support. Founded in 1975 as the Grandview Rest-home Association, it is now part of the Genesis HealthCare network and continues its original mission of "Love and Care."

The center specializes in short-term rehabilitation using physical, occupational, and speech therapies to help patients transition from hospital to home, as well as long-term care for chronic illnesses. Clinical teams develop individualized recovery plans with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation, including joint replacement, injuries, and amputation recovery. Staff work to maximize resident independence through comprehensive rehabilitative services.

Grandview is characterized by exceptional staff longevity; many employees have served for decades, creating a stable, family-oriented environment. The nursing leadership includes a Director of Nursing with over 40 years of service at the facility and a Staff Physician with more than 15 years of geriatric care experience. The facility features gardens, an activity center, and a beauty salon, along with comfortable common and lounge areas for residents to gather with family and friends. A recreation program includes regular musical performances and daily scheduled activities. An alarm system provides security for residents with cognitive deficits.
