All, be VERY cautious before you put a loved one in here. The fine print is that this is memory care ASSISTED LIVING. We all know that dementia patients most often do not stay stable. They decline. This facility is not equipped for that, but they will not tell you that because they want to fill rooms. ***Positive reviews are all for the lodge across the street. Therefore, your loved one will be stuck in a dangerous facility while you wait for a bed in a different place. Poorly trained CNAs do not know what to do (or do not want to help) with residents who start needing assistance with hygiene, toileting, and feeding. No training on how to deal with dementia-related normal behaviors. They will lie about care (I mean, there’s no one to tell the truth in a memory care facility, you know?). Residents have very little activities and are parked in front of the TV all day and night. Manager and RN are always in offices and not in the facility and therefore have no real sense about conditions and do not supervise CNAs. Unsupervised CNAs are constantly on phones. CNAs on phones with a dirty cafe floor and dirty tables. Borderline or straight up neglectful care. Laundry not done in a timely manner. Now, shout out to the CNAs who DO work because they bust their asses while the rest stand around. No housekeeping to speak of, equals dirty facility. No OT to help residents manage dementia or provide enrichment. If you stuck around to the end, beware. Cheaper price point= cheap care.
