Take your family members anywhere else in the continental United States. My aunt was recently here and now more recently my father. The food so vile that they needed outside family members to bring in additional food just to stay alive. Of course the food cost is still built in to the cost of room and board. $100 a day for rotten fruit and dry roast beef. The physical therapists are weak and pathetic. They refuse to follow doctor orders and cant bother work with your loved ones to a quality degree and instead forces them off skilled care and then $20,000 of your retirement account down the drain.

My mother has lived at Good Samaritan Algona for almost a year. I’m so pleased with the care she receives there. I live 1400 miles away so I rely on the staff to help me communicate with my mother. They take a phone to her and also set up a laptop so we can zoom with her. The staff is always more than willing to help. Thank you Good Sam Algona for you compassionate care.
