I would never recommend this place for your loved ones. The lack of care is atrocious. The staff sleeps at night instead of caring for their patients. When something is said nothing gets done. The errors that are made are going to cost someone their life if things don’t change. Do not place your loved ones here. There are much better facilities elsewhere

Goldwater Care in Pontiac is a well-run facility that truly stands out. The building is spacious and well-maintained, offering a comfortable environment for residents. The CNAs are excellent—attentive, compassionate, and they build strong rapport with residents. The nursing staff provides thoughtful, skilled, and personalized care, and they work closely with families to keep them involved and informed. Daily housekeeping keeps the facility clean and welcoming. Residents benefit from a dedicated activities team that offers engaging daily programs. The administrator is highly involved and leads a responsive, approachable team across departments—social services, billing, HR, and nursing. The dining area is beautiful, and the kitchen staff work hard to provide quality meals. Family involvement is encouraged, and the facility as a whole strives to make everyone—residents and their loved ones—feel like part of the Goldwater family. The multiple courtyards and floral landscaping add a peaceful, home-like touch to the environment.

This place is not fantastic it’s horrible. They overwork the staff they barely have and aren't attentive to the residents. I would never recommend any of my family to this establishment. If i could give no stars i would. Need improvements swiftly or be reported.

My Mother is a resident here. Staff is attentive and caring. They have wonderful and inventive activities. Highly recommended. UPDATE: my Mother passed and it has now been over 6 weeks and no refund of the thousands of dollars we are owed. Was told it might take 6 weeks and now being told 3 months. This is unacceptable.

One of the most unbelievably amazing Nursing Homes!! I’ve been to a bunch but never seen this level of care while still feeling like it’s family. Highly recommend Goldwater.
