Do not let your loved ones live there if they need any help. They wouldn’t last one month. Incompetent staff/aides, nursing, marketing..everyone there. Completely awful and heartless. This is your job. Take care of the people living there. The staff there are not in this job for the right reasons. They’re there because it’s a job. Very disappointed. Needless to say, our loved one isn’t there anymore. Avoid this place at all costs!

Misled and given misinformation. After five days my parents were moved to another unit by the staff, which was more expensive and did n’t notify us until several hours later. An assessment had been done by Evenglow and our parents were accepted for the level of care they entered into and Evenglow changed their mind in five days! So, we removed them and took them back to their prior care facility where they don’t play games. Terrible experience. It was very traumatizing to our parents and didn’t have to be that way if they were honest with us all from the beginning.

My mother lived at Evenglow Lodge for 14+ years. She really enjoyed her time with the residents and caring staff. I am convinced that the atmosphere there enabled her to achieve her 100th birthday. The staff was fantastic as I would receive calls about her care when they felt she needed something additional or had a concern. My grandchildren always thought their great-grandmother lived in a fancy hotel! There were always plenty of programs and activities to keep her occupied. When she found out that she had missed a visitor she would say, "I can't just sit in my room all day!" She started as an independent resident and then progressed into assisted living while staying in her same apartment which was very convenient. The last few days of her life was spent in the Health Center. Staffing care for both her and me during her final days were excellent. I would definitely choose Evenglow for myself or other family members if the need should arise.

We can only say good things about Evenglow. The Administrator, office staff, dietary, housekeeping, laundry and last but not least the nursing staff are excellent. Our Dad resided at Evenglow first in the Lodge and when his health declined in the Tjardes Health Center. We all felt that his every need was well attended to. This was his home for 5+ years.
