I recently lost my mom at Accolade in Pontiac, and even though her time there was short and mostly spent on hospice, I can’t say enough about how incredible the staff was during such a difficult time. They showed compassion, patience, and kindness not only to my mom but to me and my family as well when we needed it most. In moments that felt overwhelming, they brought comfort and peace in ways I’ll never forget. Sarah Harder went above and beyond making my mom feel loved and beautiful doing her nails and hair and just sitting and talking to her for an hour or more at times.❤️ I ESPECIALLY want to recognize Kathy, her nurse, who was truly amazing throughout the entire process. Her kind words keep popping up in my mind. She showed genuine love and care for my mom and me all the way until the very end. She made an incredibly painful experience a little easier to bear, and that meant more than I can put into words. Kathy is an absolute gem, and she deserves all the good in life. I will never forget the care my mom received from her. ❤️

My father is currently staying at Accolade in Pontiac to rehab following a fall. We looked at many places before choosing Accolade in Pontiac - and we are confident we made the right choice. The staff is incredible, my father is safe and is getting the care he needs. Thanks!

My Dad needed placement for skilled nursing immediately. Accolade did everything they could to get him in. We had a room in the afternoon. The admission staff was professional and kind. The only thing I was disappointed in was a nurse that did not really seem to care and told me she had been there quite a few years. Not enough CNAs. There was a dietary employee by the name of Cody. He made sure my Dad had all his dietary needs and really list. He was kind and even made exception to his needs. Overall a good place. They take time to be very accommodating. Thank you Acvolate for getting my Dad in so quickly

I recently visited Accolade in Pontiac and was very impressed. All of the workers were very friendly and the people staying there looked very happy. There wasn't any odors like you hear about in nursing homes either! If we ever need help for my parents it will be the first place we call.

Moving my grandfather from assisted living to a retirement home was a daunting endeavor for us. We had countless questions swirling through our minds as we researched and made phone calls to find the perfect fit for my beloved grandfather. We were paying out of pocket, so we had the right to be picky with our choice. Kaitlyn from Accolade visited my grandfather in person at his assisted living facility to explain the care he would receive and answered our questions. We liked that she took the time. We were consistently impressed with the level of care, quality, and exceptional communication throughout the process. The nurses were not only kind but also proactive in their approach. If they couldn't answer a question, they promptly found someone who could. This level of transparency and prompt action instilled a sense of security. The sweet nurses quickly informed us about urgent matters, demonstrating their commitment to his care. The nurses went above and beyond; at times, my mother would visit and find one of the nurses spending quiet time with him. When the need arose, they arranged for hospice care on-site, and the service was equally exceptional. We were genuinely impressed with choosing Accolade as my grandfather's last home. The exceptional service they provided surpassed our expectations and left us feeling satisfied with our choice.
