My father went here to receive physical & occupation therapy after a stay in the hospital for a gallbladder removal. Jessica the rep for Golden Estates is an amazing sales person and knows all the right things to say to make you feel like this is the perfect place for you loved one. At first things were going smoothly. My father had been there almost 2 weeks and then he fell. They said all was well and he seemed fine. He still needed more time in order to be strong enough to come home. He was able to come home for on a day pass and that was nice. The whole time he was there he was complaining daily of UTI symptoms. We had to press the nursing staff to test his urine. They finally did and said that the WBC was too low to treat. I asked them to redo the test. They did 2 days later and said that he did in fact have a UTI. They said that he would be given an antibiotic to address the infection. We were not told what they were giving him, but trusted that he was getting it. Another week passed and he became unresponsive one evening. We thought this was due to pain meds and called the next morning. He could not form a sentence or make any sense. No one had seen him or checked on him. We called the nurses station and demanded that he be checked on. When the nurse finally went in they found that his oxygen level was extremely low and he was unresponsive. They called an ambulance and sent him to the ER. When he got to the ER they had to place a folly for the UTI, the infection was so bad that he was almost septic. He also had pneumonia. He was immediately admitted to ICU. ICU nurses said that his paperwork from the SNF had no mention at all of any antibiotics, and judging from the state of his infection he was not receiving anything at the SNF. The director from the SNF - April was in full CYA mode and called 4 days later to assure me that he did receive antibiotics. They told me that he received an antibiotic he was deathly allergic to, he never got it. He would have been in anaphylaxis shock if that were the case. They quickly came up with another excuse. LOTS of EXCUSES!!! They did not even care that they almost killed my father. If you do have a loved one here please make sure that you can check on them each and every day in person!!!! Do not take what the case manager/director is telling you at face value.

Golden Estates goes beyond professionalism and courtesy. Their team helped our family during an extremely tough time when we had to admit my mother into the nursing home. Randi stuck with me throughout the process and her communication skills were excellent. No matter the time she let me know what was needed and going on. She made an extremely hard decision an easy transition. I completely recommend this place to anyone searching for their loved one’s next step. I wish I could give them more stars. I encountered no issues at all. Their facility itself also warmly welcomes residents and engages in so many activities. It’s an added plus they have self care services such as free haircuts. While the decision was hard I’m glad that they were there for the process.

My mother is very happy here and very well taken care off. The staff keeps her and her room clean daily. Most importantly her meds are always given on schedule. Her Care Team address any concerns as they arise promptly and we meet quarterly to review her healthcare plan. She enjoys the staff and the meals. She also likes to participate in the activities like bingo, games, holiday food and music. She has always referred to Golden Estates as her home.

Hello to the Team members here at Golden Estates. My brother Oscar Gonzalez was a patient here. He would often say he had finally found his home a place where he fitted in! Comfort was a word he would often use. Family away from his family is what I felt when I would call to check up on him. I was part of the group that would see pictures of him interacting with others in the facility Group activity was a big thing there that had bingo , uno, religious activities outings! His last days there were a very stressful time. The nursing staff actually everyone was polite and cautiousness and courteous of us. I just can’t say enough about the Team. I want to especially Thank April for taking the time to listen to me about Oscar and the facility. On another note the cleanness of the facility was awesome. The atmosphere was amazing. I wish I could post pictures of my brother here. I will continue to follow Golden Estates cause I feel that they care about everyone single person that enters their doors. On behalf of the Gonzalez family We Thank You.
