This facility is absolutely unacceptable, and I would strongly warn anyone against trusting them with the care of a loved one. What I witnessed was beyond concerning — it was outright negligent. There were overflowing trash bins filled with used gloves and waste left sitting open in what should be a clean, controlled care environment. That is a blatant violation of basic sanitation and infection control standards.
This isn’t a minor oversight — it reflects a complete lack of accountability and disregard for resident safety. If something this obvious is being ignored, it raises serious questions about what else is being neglected behind closed doors. No one should have to worry about whether their loved one is being exposed to unsanitary and potentially dangerous conditions. This place is failing at the most basic level of care. I strongly urge anyone considering this facility to look elsewhere. Management should be ashamed of the conditions being allowed here and needs to take immediate action.

If it were possible to give this place more than 5 stars they definitely deserve it. I am a retired nurse of 42 years, my husband retired primary care physician. He isn’t easy to impress but this place definitely did it.
My dad spent 16 months in an independent 1 ½ ,2 full bathrooms apartment. Beautiful fully equipped apartment. He loved being independent, doing his own laundry, was able to keep his car for short trips. He even fell in love with the adorable woman across the hall. Always fun activities and excursions. Live music and dancing every Friday. It was his absolute best time out of his last 22 years since my mom died.
My husband and I have had patients in several states who lived in senior facilities including his own mom.
The most important positives from 2 medical professionals are these.
1. For residents like my dad who were blue collar workers their whole life they make it so easy to do this. Unlike many facilities we’ve seen, they don’t require a large amount of money upfront as my MIL had to do at hers. Just the rent. Gave us time to sell dads home and invest to generate additional income. He never ever thought he could afford to live somewhere like this.
2. In the independent apartments services are ala carte. You don’t need to buy a “package “ that includes unneeded services. Dad was very independent. Liked to make his own breakfast so his only add on was dinner each evening. He had a longtime friend who had cleaned his home so she just kept on monthly here. You aren’t required to use their service.
3. The rent is no more than we pay for our apartment in Baltimore and includes, activities, live entertainment even saw pic of their Facebook page of residents playing with visiting baby goats.
4. A very big plus is that compared to many that are part of corporate chains this place is family owned and residents are truly treated as their family. We met men from maintenance who knew my dad and had fun stories about him.
5. When unfortunately, dad was diagnosed with a terminal illness the staff bent over backwards to help me set up in home hospice. The ½ bedroom perfectly fit a hospital bed allowing me to move into his room. We each had a private bedroom and bathroom,
allowing the living room for visitors.
So many thanks to Mary Alice, Janet, Mia, Alyssa, and each and every resident and staff who welcomed dad with open arms from day one.❤️
I truly wished he’d had more time to enjoy it.
