My father-in-law stayed here, and while the facility is clean and several staff members were kind, we experienced some serious issues worth sharing. We had repeated problems with a nurse named Cindy, who was often rude, dismissive, and spoke down to my father-in-law and scolded him for reaching out to his family about poor treatment. At one point he went 8 hours without having his depend changed, which is unacceptable. The facility said it was due to short staffing. Typically they change the residents very 3 hours or so. Cindy also failed to follow through on scheduling his surgery appointment after receiving the call, causing him to remain in severe abdominal pain for several extra weeks (he ended up being in months of daily abdominal pain total). I only discovered this "oopsie" after speaking with Tabitha in the office and contacting the doctor’s office myself, at which point the surgery was finally scheduled thanks to my advocacy. We ultimatly moved my father-in-law closer to us, and we later learned we lost the chance to get him into a highly rated facility because someone at this nursing home placed a negative and not entirely accurate note in his file, which affected his acceptance. Ultimately leading to his denied acceptance. I called this facility to express my frustations with this but the situation wasn't resolved and Cindy is still allowed to be menace. There are good staff members here, but families need to stay very on top of everything to make sure their loved one doesn’t suffer unnecessarily. Document everything, times, dates, who you spoke to etc. Get it in writing at the very least. You have rights. They will likely dislike you for it, but it's absolutely nessassary to protect and advocate for your loved one. Always remember, just because something is easier for someone else, it doesn't mean it's the best thing for your loved one. Trust your intuition. Sending love to all of you in similar situations with your loved ones.

This is a wonderful facility. My mom has been here two years and the love and care she receives has been better than we could have ever hoped for. We love the staff, and they love our mom, and that means the world to us! ❤️

Great staff! Particularly pleased with the Physical Therapy department. They were accommodating to individual needs and requests such as helping me arrange for husband to get to vote from a vehicle. It is an old building which causes some maintenance issues=4 rather than 5 stars.

Placing your loved one in a skilled nursing facility for rehabilitation can be a very scary thing. After much research and consideration my family chose Glendale Gardens. The staff was kind, considerate, and very caring. My mom was in there three weeks and we were very pleased with the facility, her progress in there rehabilitation program, and the professional staff.
