This place is awesome. My wife and I were looking for a permanent home for my 97 year old mother. The entire staff was warm and welcoming. They made you feel at home, and like family, not just another customer coming through their doors. My mothers one fear was going into a nursing home when she got old, and that always stuck in my head, but after dealing with Gilpin Hall staff, all their amenities and just getting the down right home feeling made me feel better about when I have to break the news to my mother. The nurses and staff there are super polite and professional. And just watching them interact with the residents, you can tell they enjoy their jobs, and that they treat the patients as they would want their family members treated. Very fuzzy and warm feeling there. This place is top of the line, and I did a lot of shopping, and I think God sent me here for my mother. If you are looking for the same reasons, we were please give them a shot, they say money is not everything, it’s the care you want for the family when you’re not there.

Gilpin Hall has been a really great place for my dad who suffers from dementia. I have had experiences at a few other nursing homes and Gilpin Hall has been far superior to the others in all areas including nursing, activities, food, support staff, cleanliness and overall environment. The staff are caring and comforting and employees take the time to get to know each resident. Highly recommend!
