About Georgetown Living

Founded by individuals with extensive healthcare backgrounds, the community was among the first assisted living facilities in Georgetown and remains one of the only Alzheimer's certified facilities in the city.

The facility's design philosophy prioritizes resident safety and dignity through an open floor plan that situates rooms close to main areas rather than along isolating corridors. Georgetown Living offers outdoor accessibility with city surroundings and beautiful amenities that balance urban and country living. Residents enjoy interactions with therapy animals, garden beds for planting activities, violin performances, bingo games, and non-denominational religious services. The facility maintains several outdoor garden areas and a fish pond designed to be peaceful and contained spaces for residents.

The leadership includes staff members with diverse backgrounds, including Dr. Hu, who serves on the Texas Council of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders and was awarded the 2018 SXSW Community Service award. We were so grateful to have dad be able to live here. The caring and attention he received at Georgetown Living were excellent. Dad needed iv antibiotics before coming here, and had to stay in a nursing facility until that treatment was done. THAT experience taught us that a prettily decorated facility means nothing - it's the care , staffing level, and empathy of the caregivers that make the difference. I visited dad multiple times a week and was always happy with how well dad was cared for at Georgetown Living. I have recommended them to several other friends.

We feel so grateful to have Georgetown Living taking care of Mom. Jane and Heather and the rest of the staff have been truly caring and very communicative. They really treat the residents and their families as if they are part of their own family. Their memory care is informed by the latest methods, and and they only do Alzheimer's care, so all the caregivers are well trained and very gentle with the residents. The caregivers really get to know the residents, down to details of their lives and what their favorite foods are, and treat them like part of the family. Thank you GL for making us part of your family!

My husband “Coach” as he is known to the staff at Georgetown Living went to live with them on February 20,2021. He has been there three years, and I can’t say enough about the quality of his medical and physical care there. In a three-year period, we have been through many covid attacks and virus’. Our family has been extremely pleased with the quarantine policy and consideration of the family’s feelings about the shutdowns. I find GL to be clean and sanitary.

I have never smelled odors in his three years there. When visiting other homes to place him, that was a strong reason for not choosing some of them. GL is a clean and a sanitary place.

I have never been, when I have seen residents unattended. The caregivers are always with a resident. I have never seen the caregivers huddled among themselves. At his prior facility I never saw caregivers interacting with residents, they were always among themselves…not so at GL. You can see the love between the resident and the caregivers. You also as family feel loved by them. The staff is the same way. They have relationships with the residents and their families also.

I am always notified the moment there is a change. I receive current updates and they send pictures from time to time. “Coach” could not have better care. He seems to love them and they in return seem to love him. I am very thankful God led me to this place.

Georgetown Living has been taking care of my Mom for a couple of years now and the staff is outstanding. They genuinely care about the people living there. It's so nice to have a small facility so she gets plenty of attention and it's super easy to visit and spend time with her. I've had no issues with her health and they have been great at accommodating various needs like physical therapy.

I am happy to recommend Georgetown Living to anyone looking for a quality facility for a loved one or family member who needs specialized memory care. My mother has been a resident for almost a year; I live close by and see her most every day. She gets the medical, nursing, doctor and therapy care she needs; the staff quickly learned her likes and dislikes (give her something chocolate and sweet and she’s your good buddy!) and they treat her with love and affection. What I appreciate most when I visit, however, is not so much how the staff interacts with her, because when I am visiting she usually does not require a lot of attention; it is the attention and encouragement I see the other residents getting when they have no family members present. Problems are handled calmly; everyone is treated with respect. Seeing the staff care for the residents in such personal ways gives me confidence that my mom also receives this same care when I am not there!
