GEM Home Health provided excellent care for my mother 24 hours a day, seven days a week for 3 years. All caregivers were professional and compassionate and treated my mother with respect. It gives me great comfort knowing that my mother was able to stay in the comfort of her own home with caregivers I know we could trust. I highly recommend GEM HOME HEALTH, LLC. Tom

For approximately 4 months, my uncle with Alzheimer's received EXCELLENT care 8 hours a day. His caregiver cared for him with respect, dignity and understanding. In a short amount of time, my uncle declined due to mini-strokes and suddenly required 24 hour assistance until we were able to make arrangements to move him to Memory Care. The caregiver's only responsibility was to care for him overnight, making sure he didn't fall. The care giver arrived at 8 p.m. her very first night, a different caregiver from the daytime, and he fell and fractured his hip before midnight. He had partial hip replacement and never fully came out of the anesthesia. In 6 weeks, he went from walking, talking, feeding himself etc. to rehab after surgery, then to ICU and then to hospice. He fell on May 25 and passes away on July 5. When I filed a grievance, they said that my uncle should have been in MC and that his placement in AL was not providing adequate care for him. This the entire reason we went from 8 hrs a day to 24 hrs care for him while making arrangements for placement in MC. Rest in PEACE uncle!
